If I hadn't already given my iPhone 5 to my father the day my 6+ arrived, then I would have sent it back within the 14 day cooling off period and returned to my i5. Silly me expecting the 6+ to be better in every respect than the two years older i5.
Due to all the purchased apps I have and the 'ecosystem', it isn't quite so straightforward as to ditch my £700 phone and buy an Android one. I had strongly considered the Note 4 once the iPhone 6 specs had been released but I didn't like it when I went to try one out. Nor did I like the Nexus 6. So I figured that the 6+ would surely be no worse than my iPhone 5...
I certainly shan't be keeping it beyond 12 months though. Apple let me down with this one, and it almost cost the price of a MacBook so I'm not best pleased.

My 6+ the way I use is in every respect better than the ip5 which I also own so ...

I had the ip6 first off, I gave it up for the 6+. I never fully compared the two, the 6+ I warmed up to it immediately when I first tried it.

What stopped you from trying the ip6 and ditching the 6+?

Some people here have an agenda, trust the fact that he has one. Check much of the iPhone forum, you can easily confirm it.

My 6 Plus has worked extremely well with no issues, but he can't stand to hear anyone here saying they have a good experience. It ruins what he's trying to do. ;)

I wanted a bigger screen and better battery life, the only major two things that bugged me about the iPhone 5. The 4.7" i6 wouldn't have felt like a big enough upgrade, although it is obviously a more capable phone in most respects.
The i5, or mine anyway, was smoother than my 6+. No lag whatsoever, no random screen freezing, and no app crashing. The real party piece is that it acted like it had twice the RAM of the 6+. I could have a couple of apps and a few browser tabs open without reloading. My 6+ reloads more than I would imagine any device could. That's the real dealbreaker for me and why I consider the two generations older iPhone 5 to be a more suitable device for my requirements. So for me, the 6+ is a kind of nothing phone. It isn't good enough to keep longer than 12 months, and it irritates the hell out of me on a daily basis. I have a love/hate relationship with it. The battery life is great, the screen is great and the loudspeaker is great. The rest of it is an underspecced and buggy mess. I do reiterate, *for my purposes*. I'm a heavy web browser and I make a lot of web data entries. I do a lot of researching and swap between tabs and apps on a regular basis. I absolutely need them to stay in memory in the state I last viewed them. My i5 allowed this to a point and my 6+ doesn't allow it at all. It isn't defective because I can get my friend's 6+ to exhibit the same behaviour. Plus Apple checked my phone and said it's fine.

I like how you continue to ignore many people here who have recommended you get rid of your 6 Plus and move on to Android phone. Why won't you take this advice? Is it because you won't have a reason to continue trashing the iPhone 6 Plus and/or iOS8? :)

Erm, the very post you have quoted explains what you ask.
Anyway, quit with the tiresome aggressive Apple defence.
If you want to mail me a thousand bucks I'll happily try an Android device. I only dropped £700 on this 6+ a few months ago and am not in the habit of upgrading every three months. Whether I like it or not, I'm stuck with it for a while longer.

I will be happy to when you quit trashing the iPhone 6 Plus. Haven't you made your point? Every thread, even if has nothing to do with the topic you bring up the lag, screen issues and bugs that YOU are experiencing. Why must this be on every iPhone 6/plus thread you post on? There is such thing as a fair discussion and I'm certain that everyone has seen your posts?
You don't seem to get it. When you post here you are speaking to the forum members, not to Apple. Why don't you take up your displeasure with Apple?

Ignoring your posts is not an option because you're putting out Fear Uncertainty and Doubt when most people here are not experiencing YOUR issues.

And since you have no intention of spending money on another phone such as Android then just deal with what you've got. But everybody here knows how you feel. Trust that.

I bring up the lag, screen freezing and/or lack of RAM in threads where it's relevant. Like this one.

Actually that's not true. I can pull up multiple posts of yours that says otherwise. ;)

Same here. He wants people to believe that we all are sharing his same issues though. I enjoy my 6 Plus. :)

Plenty of folk have experienced random lag and screen freezing on the 6+. If you don't then that's brilliant for you.

Exactly, because your favorite lines are "Most People", "Many People" and "Plenty of Folk" when explaining the amount of people who experience the same issues as you do or the amount of people that want a screen protector. When I ask you to show any facts, you ignore the post. Of course, because you don't have facts to back up such nonsense.

Funny though, because I'm seeing more people on this forum who are greatly having a completely opposite experience as you. I've only seen one or two people say the same as you. And they don't seem to feel the need to say it over and over.....as you do. ;)

Listen, I experience it. My friend experiences it. Several folk on these forums experience it. The Apple genius I visited experienced it on his 6+. So far as I'm concerned it's a 6+ or iOS8 issue and I can't explain why some are adamant that their devices are perfect. I'll take my personal experience, that of my friend, and that of an Apple genius as overwhelming enough. I don't have to prove anything to you as this is a discussion forum, not a debating society. If you don't wish to discuss it endlessly then stop.

Two people and neither of them you can confirm.

You still haven't verified this "several", "many" or "most" people. ;)

The Apple genius I visited experienced it on his 6+.

Oh yeah, and you can really verify this right? I can also say the Genius, 5 employees plus the Apple Store Manager told me they have no issues with their 6 Plus.

Exactly, because as long as anyone here says their iPhone 6Plus works perfectly, in your eyes they are liars or backing up Apple.

I'll take my personal experience, that of my friend, and that of an Apple genius as overwhelming enough.

Yep, because "3 people", saying the same thing means YOUR issues are widespread. Right, Exactly. :p

Yes you do have to prove it because you're putting out negative information as if it's fact and you can't prove any of it. But thanks for admitting that you can't back up your nonsense. Typical.

I just sold the plus after a few months. Picked up a 6 yesterday and I immediately noticed that the 6 is definitely smoother animation wise compared to the plus. Just my observation.

I see that the iphone 6 plus has RAM issues, because its stutters and lags. Anyone here also the same problem?

If you open safari and have 5 to 9 tabs of links, press on the tab switcher, you see stutter, lag

Stutters and lags has nothing to do with RAM, since iOS doesn't use swapping files to my knowledge.
I can't see any lag on my iPhone, but stuttering is quite subjective, and surely iOS 8 animations sometimes could cause it, in the eyes of some people.

my 5S on iOS 7 was amazing.

my 5s on iOS 8 has this annoying issue where if Im texting someone and someone is sending me messages, my phone freezes...every single time. on iOS 8.1, 8.1.2..thats lag due to iOS 8.

I had a 6 plus for a month, the only thing I didn't like was how big it was. Got a 6 instead, and a 6 is not a worthy upgrade from a 5s imo so it was returned.

Just my opinion of course, but I had the 5S and I find the 6 to be a great upgrade. Not only in screen real estate but just raw performance.

Did you realize that's not normal behavior? My iPhone 6 doesn't freeze during texting, and in using it quite a lot for texting. I'm also texting while making calls. Flawlessly.

You just haven't noticed yet. It's a bug that plagues every version of 8.x to date.

Source: 5 + iPhones in the family and all of them did this when I tested it.

Could you explain me how to test that? I can't reproduce the issue on mine

I just bought the iphone 6+ 64 gig, and yes its stutter in safari when you open 1 to 6 tabs and press on the tabswittcher.. its stutter, lags.

The owners of the 6+ can try it. On the normal iPhone 6 model it doesnt happen.

I love these examples of lag. Open up the music app, stand on your head and rotate the device, double tap the home button.. See lag!!! Ridiculous.

I'm used to the small stutters when scrolling etc, they aren't a dealbreaker although they were offputting at first. The frequent screen freezing for 10-30 seconds is a big problem though. That's major lag.

I'll try it again with around 6 tabs but I don't really recall this happening or I would have posted it on this forum long ago! :)

I know about Spotlight, anything else? I play some racing games on the Plus and no problems whatsoever. One thing that sticks out like a sore thumb on any Android phones but the Note is when a car approaches the finish line on RR3 there is a delay before crossing it. Some even show a yellow flash right at that point.

What is your angle? You've said this multiple times?......Same antics as someone else here....And you're example is not only an uncommon occurrence but ridiculous to say the least.

Seems when one posts so does the other. This has been more than once. Starting to make sense. Hmm....;)

Since you feel the need to keep on, so will I about recommending that you dump your 6 plus for an Android. There's nothing wrong with the Note 4. Oh, but you refuse to do that huh? Is it because you won't have a reason to be here anymore?
