Why are people ordering from AT&T if you get a mid to late November window when on Apple right now you get an earlier window?

I didn't have any choice, my work ordered mine, although I did pay for the upgrade.
Preparing to dispatch
Mine says Preparing to Dispatch a few hours ago, ordered mine on the 28th September.
Any ideas of anyone how long this process is going to take?

what type of phone and who did you order through?
I order through ATT but got a waiting list till Mid November.
So i went to the Target by my house and they let me to be on there inventory list. So pretty mych which ever one that comes in ill get.

Just received e-mail, 6P SG 128GB shipped, provided USPS tracking number. Online confirmation shows shipped. USPS tracking not yet showing.
Ordered 9/12 03:40 eastern time with 10/02 - 10/13 ship promise. Actual ship date 10/08. Looks like AT&T and Apple lived up to order commitment.

circa7 I'm on the same schedule, though it seems stuck on the import scan in Louisville, on friday, we will be one happy set of people!
I got a call from AT&T's "Office of the President" about my 11/9-11/27 ship date yesterday. (I ordered it at a store around noon on 9/12.) They said my ship date is tied to regional warehouse availability and basically just a crapshoot. The reason some people who ordered after 9/12 already have their 6+ is purely due to having a better warehouse assignment. It seems your ship date is based on where you live in the U.S. So, not first come, first served.
Just found out the phone is still in Asia? How long will that take from there to the UK?

, Wow.1) Preordered soon as I woke up on the 12, and was intially told 5-7 days.
2) Upgrade and trade in that I don't get on Apple site.
I would have ordered from Apple on the 12th if their website were working for me. It wasn't. AT&T's was.
I was able to complete an order via AT&T while Apple's site was still trying to load. This was at 6:00AM CDT on Friday the 12th.
My iPhone just shipped today. I ordered on Apple.com on Sep 19th around 9AM EST. it's an ATT Gold 64GB Plus. My original window was October 20-27 but UPS it's saying it'll be here on Thursday the 16th. It's currently sitting on ZhengZhou, China.
I am waiting for my iPhone 6 Plus, 128 GB, SG, Ordered 9/19. AT&T shows 'Preparing to ship' since the 9/25. It's not been all that long, but i'm starting to feel a bit anxious. I called the #877 today and got the back ordered status.
I'm usually patient about ordering new products.
I truly hope that India, China and the rest of the world don't get 128GB/ SG Pluses before I do (and the others who've ordered them). This whole order fulfillment seems a lot on the sketchy side. Not too pleased.

Got to relax a little and yes, deep breaths. Just like A LOT OF US. Your time should be coming. But in reality, with this whole fiasco, who knows. I hope we all get our phones before Thanksgiving. Would love to use it to take some great Thanksgiving photos!
I've seen at least 2 posts from India stating they got their 128 GB Space Gray plus models. Yep... same phone I preordered from AT&T on the 12th. My expected delivery window is 10/31 - 11/11
