This is an Apple product, if you don't like the price, don't buy it. If you don't like the spec's, don't buy it.

Buy a phone that matches your chosen spec requirements, and then use it, and realise no one actually cares what phone you use except you.

I dont really think the 1GB of RAM is a huge thing. Heading forwards it may be a limiting factor with some programmers, but it's not like it is struggling with 1GB at the moment. The larger screen, faster CPU and more space may mean larger games with more complexity, but I wonder if the new Metal programming interface helps to lesten the need for RAM as much as the current setup?

It is struggling at the moment and why try ever increasing methods of trying to get around the low amount of RAM with nifty programming, when it would be far more effective to just increase the hardware??

I will do just that but I am allowed to be disappointed, and I am allowed to comment.

I'm interested to know what you do with the phone to need more RAM? I only have the iPhone 5 (I skip the S models) and I cannot think of a time where I thought I needed more.

Not flaming, just interested in what you do with it to need more.

I use it as a portable computer. Web browsing (lots), research, videos, plenty of open tabs, apps, phonecalls, Whatsapp and SMS.
I have low memory logs and app/browser reloads several times per day and this thing is just crying out for more RAM.

Because that's slapping a plaster/bandaid on it, and not advancing the programming tech. I personally feel that we should always be trying to push things forward and making things more efficient. Adding more RAM is, in my eyes, a lazy approach and an easy cop-out.

Not addressing the problem is a cop-out!
So how come desktops etc don't have 1GB of RAM? How come the i5 doubled the RAM of the i4? If adding more RAM (which costs peanuts) fixes the issue, then that to me is far more than a band aid. Faffing with software to try and limit the effects of a hardware issue is a band aid.
