does anyone who have pre-ordered in the past if they limit each customer to one per order?

I plan on pre-ordering the 6 and 6 plus for pickup tonight, and wanted to know if I have to do 2 separate transactions?

So I don't get this activated T-Mobile sim rule. I will be in the US in Oct to get my iphones. Will these be unlocked by default or whats the procedure to getting them unlocked?

40 days with a throwaway sim card plan?

I think it is a red herring if you order it from Apple directly. Last year, T-Mobile locked the phones they sold at their stores and website and would not unlock them unless you bought and paid for 40 days of service (at least another $80 or so). But the ones sold by Apple were unlocked, even though they didn't advertise that fact.

If you plan to be in the US, just go to an Apple store and get any phone full price except the Sprint one. They will be unlocked. If you are skittish at all, insist on a Verizon model as they are all unlocked.

It'll be weeks (a month) later possibly (if the 5s is any guide). The thing is, it all depends on how production is going and it seems like the 6 isn't having the issues that the 5s did….so it might not be so bad. For the 5s I think for the folks that missed the early pre-orders, it was better if they just waited (not pre-ordered) and found out who (carrier, Best Buy etc.) had the phones and where and purchased it directly after release (except for the gold which was impossible to get last year).

Your best bet is to go to the store next weekend. In big cities like New York or Chicago the stores will get shipments during the day. I got lucky at Grand Central in NY in 2012 and Lincoln Park in Chicago last year. Apple generally doesn't reserve many phones for the pre-order. With 2 new models they are playing a guessing game. They didn't attempt pre-orders of the 5s last year but admitted they got the mix wrong between the 5s and 5c. This year it's even worse since they have no idea at all how many prefer the 6 vs the 6 plus.

Thanks guys. We'll see how it goes. Hopefully thought it won't be as bad as last year!

I have a special discounted account with att so I had to place my order through my att guy that made my account. He took my order and info and said he would order it first thing tomorrow morning through them. But them I'm seeing it launches tonight at 12am on att.com .Hmmm... I wonder if it's a different ordering system in the store than the online store for regular customers? Idk either way if I have to wait I'm ok with that too. We'll see what happens tomorrow.

I'd like to know as well. I plan to order for me and my spouse.

Where are people getting these notions that these pre orders sell out within minutes? Every iPhone I've ordered I've waited till morning or later and always got my phone on release day. Including the crazy iPhone 4 release!

Almost time

iPhone 6 Plus
Model A1522 (GSM)
Model A1522 (CDMA)

I'm still confused. Is A1522 one model or are there two models, 1 for GSM and 1 for CDMA?

I'm a student living out of state and am still on my parents Verizon plan. Do they have to order for me, or can I order it myself?

You can order it, but you'll need the last 4 digits of Account holder's SS

Just woke up! Almost time.

Same here... Just sat hitting refresh on browser every 5 mins! LOL
I *think* they should be open 8AM UK time, but of course the whole world will be hitting the servers at the same time so i'm not that confident about this one :(
