I've had it restart on me several times. Im going to do a fresh install with 8.1 and not restore from backup and see if that helps.
I just had my 6+ exchanged because it kept resetting. I purchased my 6+ on launch day. The replacement iPhone 6+ just reset/crashed.
I erased all content and settings and restored as new so its not related to a backup.
Yeah my iOS is certainly up to date, as well as all my apps. I've even tried to delete apps that it *seems* to do this constantly with as I open them.
Extremely frustrating in my line of work, I have apps I need for work, and if one of them crashes in the middle of using it, I'm up creek without a paddle. I have another Genius Bar appointment on Wednesday. This time, I'm not just going to let him swap the phone. We're going to sit down and figure out the issue.

Ok I just started getting this issue after having my iphone 6 plus for three weeks now. Really annoying and frustrating for a $800 device! What is the requirements to get your phone replaced if this is not a ios issue? I bought the phone new but from ebay and not in any kind of retail box, just the phone only with no accessories. Am I entitled to warranty returns? How do I go about taking care of this issue?
does it completely reboot (start up time) or just do apple logo for a few seconds back to lock screen?
The apple logo for a few seconds then back to the lock screen. It happens mostly when I start the game I play most of the time, it starts to load then screen goes black then the apple logo then lock screen. It is only when the game is not loaded in the memory and has to start it up completely rather then resuming it, ie when I had loaded a different game before it it will reload rather then resume. Other games it resets maybe 25% of the time but this game is every time(simcity buildit). And rarely it will reset when I am browsing the internet or checking email.....
I remember that I had this issue with iPad air and iOS7. Issue dissapeared by iOS 7.1. By logs and usage I would say that there was/ is issue with RAM, maybe there is some leak and it does springboard reboot.
It is odd that when it started it was well after I updated which was after I first got the phone, so after about three weeks it just started out of the blue which I would think is a hardware issue.
I was so coaxed by this thread and other complaints about this that I didn't think to just reset the device. A hard reset fixed the issue.
