Meh... Not really. I've use ghost armor before and although it is good, mine always turned yellow after a few months. TECH 21 impact shield anti-glare is the best! Much better than ghost armor

Not sure how they do it where you are, but here, it's lifetime warranty with a $5 install...

I've never noticed mine turning yellow...but I have noticed the scuffs after a few months so what I do is peel it back on a corner and go in there and say "hey, I'd like my warranty replacement."

$5 and a fresh Ghost Armor is installed. I have yet to find a better deal.

I'm leaning more towards a simple theory....

Larger screen space, increased chance of scratches or it landing on the screen area.

You really need a protector these days, unless you are happy with scratches.

I always keep a protector on my phones and a case.

Now and then i'll whip it out of the case at home to use it naked.

(...also do the same with my phone. Meh meh meh)

It also wouldn't surprise me if Apple have cheaped out on glass. That'll make the new Sapphire screen of the 6S be more wowsome.

Like the 5s before it, the screen will scratch on the 6. I never use a screen protector on any of my phones and know that within either a week or a few months, a hairline scratch will show up. My 6 was flawless last night, and than this morning noticed as I was cleaning it there is a small hairline scratch on the screen...oh well! These phones are not super duper durable, not by any means. But if your like me, and roll without a screen protector...Be prepared to get some hair line scratches on there, even if you never drop it.

So you're mad that the screen scratched when you're the one who dropped your phone and caused it?

Take better care of your things.

I've used this one with no screen protector, for the first time on any iphone I've had.. And not one scratch on the screen.

Good luck.

Yup. It ain't resistent to machine gun fire either... I know it seems like common sense, but I fully expect a "shocked" thread about that at some point.

4 years now, completely naked. Some micro scratches I'm sure, but no problems a non OCD person would ever worry about.

If I DROPPED it? Well, ya, there's a good chance there'd be damage.

It's not a failing of the phone lol... Dropping it is not "normal use" unless you are one of the crowd who think sitting on it is too.

No crummy, misaligned, bubbled, yellow or peeling screen protector for me :)

Naked and loving it.

Guys be careful with iphone 6. I kinda fell for the claims of superior scratch resistance of the screen per some of the earlier leaks.

This thing fell out of my pocket last night about 12-18 inches to the floor. It has a huge DEEP scratch on the screen now. It fell on a flat surface and did not slide. My iphone 5 I owned for 2 years and literally didnt have a single scratch on the screen.

The screen on the iphone 6 is NOT Gorilla glass but a CHEAPER iteration.

It's outside the return window so I am stuck with this thing.

Again be careful and get a screen protector. This phone has no scratch resistance on the front glass.

Do you have some reputable source for your claim that it is not Gorilla glass, or even that it is a cheaper iteration?

No? Didn't think so.

I have never ever used a screen protector and don't intend to now. The 6 Plus is plenty durable for me.

Was there not a discussion just before the 6 came out, saying that most of the superficial scratches that appear on iPhones and the like are normally just a scratch of the oleophobic coating that is on the glass - not actually the glass of the screen itself?

Yep. Apple could use a material for the screen that is completely indestructible and unscratchable by the hardest materials and the most violent of means... and the oleophobic coating would still scratch. So until the coating becomes stronger (don't know how you manage that), all screens with that coating will scratch.
