Nope. That distinction goes to the Space Grey iPhone 5s.
LOL, we have a disagreement over color then. Not a big fan of the Space Grey. :D

----------

Nah. I disagree completely. The 5C is a great feeling phone in hand and runs all (at the time) iOS software just fine. It's slim, light, durable, functional and a great option for those who who can't afford, or don't need, all the bells and whistles of the other models. What's wrong with Apple having a wider spectrum of options? It's not like it is fragmenting the iOS environment or anything.
My opinion about the 5c would have been neutral to positive had Apple made a black version of the phone.

They made a white one, and all the other colors, but not black.

Also. 5c won't run iOS 6, which I much prefer over iOS 7.

I wish they'd made a black too. The 5c was my first iPhone and I absolutely loved the feel of it. I still have it and switch it out with my 5s sometimes.

If they'd made black, that would of been chosen as my favorite model of all time.

You literally might be the only person in the world who thinks the space grey is more attractive than the black slate.

Maybe I'm biased because I've just bought an iPhone 5s, but I like it more too  It's more vibrant looking and the pill shaped true tone flash adds something extra .. It's the details I guess ..

The iPhone 4 was the most stand-out device Apple has produced in a while.

The iPhone 5 slate is the best looking when they're all lined up in my humble opinion.

A stainless steel iPhone with satellite instead of GSM as well as 1 week battery life (with current battery technologies maybe iPhone 4 thickness) and a 4.7" screen would be a pretty incredible device.

Not having to deal with the ATT's, Telstra's, Optus', and Verizon's of this world would be great. Dealing with Apple is usually a pleasant experience.

Agree 100%

And this is coming from someone who has had every single class of iphone bar the original.

The jump from the 3G to 4 series was so extraordinarily impressive. I remember thinking wow this is a really substantial upgrade. Everything felt way more solid and high end.
From 4 to 5 I felt it cheapened a bit, like the phone was nowhere near as solid.
By the time I got the 6, it reminded me of the 3GS I used to have. Good quality phone, but it doesn't feel high end, it feels flimsy, not as precise and I feel like it's not nearly as solid, like it's built to only last the two years of the contract length.

My iPhone 4s is still being used in my household and is going strong. The same couldn't be said about the 3GS we had, at the same age. I have a feeling the 6 will fare closer to the 3GS in terms of durability, vs the 4 series.

Stainless steel is the perfect material for a phone, not aluminium.

What's wrong with aluminum? You do know that some of the world most exotic cars 90% of the suppension and engine is aluminum right? Bugatti, koenigsegg Agera R, Lamborghini aventador, Just name a few. So companies could make phones out of aluminum and make strong and beautiful at the same time. The more use my 6+ the more I love it.

To me, the 5/5s looked out of proportion (too tall for its width) and I didn't like the glass panels at the back looked out of place. I have to agree with the OP - the 6 is absolutely beautiful and easily the best looking iPhone since the original (IMO, of course ;))

Nope. That distinction goes to the Space Grey iPhone 5s.

Agreed. Although the scuffs were slightly ridiculous on the iPhone 5 and 5S. It was impossible on a black to keep them looking good.

I never owned a 4 or 4S simply because they were glass. While the 4S I think is the best overall phone Apple has ever made, that was an idiotic decision.

I find that the iPhone 5 Slate is muted and boring. The 5s Space Grey is more vibrant

Sorry.....not even close.

White iPhone 5/5s. "Solid" was a word used (to describe the 4 here previously, I believe). Just a jewel of a phone. Mind you, I DO like my new 6, but the 5 just has a certain intangible quality. Beautiful.

I liked the slate 5 but it didn't feel as substantial as the 4. Also, I wish it were completely black as opposed to the bluish black of slate. The space grey 5s had a more durable finish and the chamfered edges were shinier. That's why I like the 6\+ because it's different from the rounded screen which is a nice touch. Once again I like the design language seemingly borrowed from HTC One.

I really like the design of iPhone 5S. But obviously, iPhone 4S was hands down best looking phone ever built. I was literally head over heels for that design. Although the iPhone 6 feels great in hand, it comes not even close to the level of iPhone 4/4S.

I've never had an issue with the three iPhone 5's I've owned. The first two were replaced for defects, one two months after launch and the other in September of this year.

I did have scuffs and some nicks, but nothing like people had issues with and all the backs of my phones were perfect. The iPhone 5 I have now does not have a nick or scratch on it, nor a scuff.

BTW, I don't use cases either.

cars and phones aren't the same thing.
cars use aluminium, or are moving towards aluminium alloys, due to their light weight.
however, cars also use a very different grade of aluminium alloys.

the grade that the iphone 5 and 6 use, im saying, is not a better material than the stainless steel used on the 4 series, for the purposes of the phone.

I wore out my 5 and had to upgrade to a 6 best move I ever made quality is beyond good even made it ring louder than the 5 which you couldn't hear ring in a work environment. Love exchange it works great on the 6

Well, what was the most basic thing a phone could do on 2004? Let me guess...! Making a phone call and sending SMS?

How about mms, speed dial, sending an sms to more than person, the wonderful headphone jack... yeah list goes on. Still a great device though.

I don't see anything particularly attractive with the 6. I had the 4 and 5 and tbh the 4 was the best in my opinion. It had a solid quality feel to it. For some reason I'm just not drawn to the 6 and I've held one at my local phone store so I gave it a miss and went with a galaxy S5.

Apple definitely need to reduce those bezel sizes, they are just a waste of useful screen space.

The problem with reducing the bezel is that the bottom one can't be reduced much more with the current design of the iPhone due to the home button. The home button must either be removed or made smaller if Apple wants to reduce the bottom bezel. Else, they can only reduce the top bezel, which I think a lot of people would agree would look tacky due to the lack of symmetry. Other smartphones don't have this problem because they either don't have a home button or its a flat rectangular shape instead of circular.

I'm far more concerned with build quality and functionality. In that regard it concerns me that the bending resistance of the 6 is just over half that of the 5s.

More than one month in on my iPhone 6 (4.7"), and some of the novelty has started to wear off. While I do consider it to be the best iPhone ever made, I'm not sure it's the most beautiful phone ever built.

I actually miss my iPhone 5S in Gold. I think it was overall a better design. I used to wear it in the Apple Leather Case, and as soon as I took it out, I was always amazed at the luxurious feel of those chamfered edges and the look of the two tone aluminum/glass back.

Now, every time I take out my iPhone 6 of the case - I see those ugly antenna-bands and a protruding rear camera.

That said, I don't think I can ever go back to a 4" phone after the iPhone 6. Everything looks better on a larger screen, and for the first time, I actually enjoy watching videos on my phone. Oh, and Touch ID actually works well on the iPhone 6, as opposed to the 5S.

Cool story bro?

You now have the only 5 in existence without scuffs.

I partly agree.

Antenna bands are ok. They aren't that ugly after all. And I barely notice them in my Space grey iPhone 6.

The protruding camera... mm... yes. I have mixed feelings about that too. It's not the best looking thing. But if it's needed for a good camera experience I'm ok with that.

But when it comes to good things about iPhone 6. The curved edges of the front panel looks and feels beautiful. Seamless. The curved profile of the iPhone 6 looks fantastic and feels awesome in the hand. Not to mention the speaker holes. I was never fan of useless amount of holes in bottom of the 5/5S. Much better in iPhone 6. In overall iPhone 6 design is much cleaner and smoother than iPhone 5/5S. And it feels great in the hand.

After all design isn't only about aesthetics but also how it feels and works.

Just some of my thoughts.
