Well, what was the most basic thing a phone could do on 2004? Let me guess...! Making a phone call and sending SMS?

Nope. That distinction goes to the Space Grey iPhone 5s.
LOL, we have a disagreement over color then. Not a big fan of the Space Grey.Image

My opinion about the 5c would have been neutral to positive had Apple made a black version of the phone.Nah. I disagree completely. The 5C is a great feeling phone in hand and runs all (at the time) iOS software just fine. It's slim, light, durable, functional and a great option for those who who can't afford, or don't need, all the bells and whistles of the other models. What's wrong with Apple having a wider spectrum of options? It's not like it is fragmenting the iOS environment or anything.

They made a white one, and all the other colors, but not black.
Also. 5c won't run iOS 6, which I much prefer over iOS 7.
You literally might be the only person in the world who thinks the space grey is more attractive than the black slate.
Maybe I'm biased because I've just bought an iPhone 5s, but I like it more tooIt's more vibrant looking and the pill shaped true tone flash adds something extra .. It's the details I guess ..

Agree 100%
And this is coming from someone who has had every single class of iphone bar the original.
The jump from the 3G to 4 series was so extraordinarily impressive. I remember thinking wow this is a really substantial upgrade. Everything felt way more solid and high end.
From 4 to 5 I felt it cheapened a bit, like the phone was nowhere near as solid.
By the time I got the 6, it reminded me of the 3GS I used to have. Good quality phone, but it doesn't feel high end, it feels flimsy, not as precise and I feel like it's not nearly as solid, like it's built to only last the two years of the contract length.
My iPhone 4s is still being used in my household and is going strong. The same couldn't be said about the 3GS we had, at the same age. I have a feeling the 6 will fare closer to the 3GS in terms of durability, vs the 4 series.
Stainless steel is the perfect material for a phone, not aluminium.

I've never had an issue with the three iPhone 5's I've owned. The first two were replaced for defects, one two months after launch and the other in September of this year.Agreed. Although the scuffs were slightly ridiculous on the iPhone 5 and 5S. It was impossible on a black to keep them looking good.
What's wrong with aluminum? You do know that some of the world most exotic cars 90% of the suppension and engine is aluminum right? Bugatti, koenigsegg Agera R, Lamborghini aventador, Just name a few. So companies could make phones out of aluminum and make strong and beautiful at the same time. The more use my 6+ the more I love it.

I don't see anything particularly attractive with the 6. I had the 4 and 5 and tbh the 4 was the best in my opinion. It had a solid quality feel to it. For some reason I'm just not drawn to the 6 and I've held one at my local phone store so I gave it a miss and went with a galaxy S5.
Apple definitely need to reduce those bezel sizes, they are just a waste of useful screen space.
How about mms, speed dial, sending an sms to more than person, the wonderful headphone jack... yeah list goes on. Still a great device though.

I did have scuffs and some nicks, but nothing like people had issues with and all the backs of my phones were perfect. The iPhone 5 I have now does not have a nick or scratch on it, nor a scuff.
BTW, I don't use cases either.
Hey thanks for participating in this thread. Your opinion, I'm sure, is highly valued.Cool story bro?
You now have the only 5 in existence without scuffs.
More than one month in on my iPhone 6 (4.7"), and some of the novelty has started to wear off. While I do consider it to be the best iPhone ever made, I'm not sure it's the most beautiful phone ever built.
I actually miss my iPhone 5S in Gold. I think it was overall a better design. I used to wear it in the Apple Leather Case, and as soon as I took it out, I was always amazed at the luxurious feel of those chamfered edges and the look of the two tone aluminum/glass back.
Now, every time I take out my iPhone 6 of the case - I see those ugly antenna-bands and a protruding rear camera.
That said, I don't think I can ever go back to a 4" phone after the iPhone 6. Everything looks better on a larger screen, and for the first time, I actually enjoy watching videos on my phone. Oh, and Touch ID actually works well on the iPhone 6, as opposed to the 5S.
