Someone had made this into an iPhone 4 wallpaper, which has been my wallpaper for the last 4 years. I'm wondering if someone can freshen this up for the iPhone 6? Is it possible to center the tree or come close?

Im new to photoshop but doing my best to resize the first image so it fits the iPhone 6. so far the best i am able to do is the imgur link below. Is what i am trying to do even possible without stretching and warping the symbol in the pic?

This is one of my images that I am trying to resize to use as wallpaper on my new iPhone 6. I use CS6 and, for the life of me, cannot figure how to resize this without distortion so I can have it display like the flowers that Apple has available to use on the 6.

Any help would be appreciated. I am more interested in the process to use, not just the resizing of the image.

Thanks!

Mike

I would...
1) Find one of the official Apple flower wallpapers
2) Open flower wallpaper in Photoshop.
3) Open your flower pic in photoshop.
4) Select all, copy
5) Paste into the official flower wallpaper
6) Center right on top of the apple flower
7) Resize as necessary by dragging edges around, being sure the constrain the aspect ratio

EDIT: Added my take. Your flower isn't completely symmetrical like the lotus flowers, so it's a little off-center.

If you don't mind the image being smaller and centered on the wallpaper, I would just adjust the canvas size. Do some content-aware fill for the empty space and see what it comes up with. Otherwise, there are many wood-panelling wallpapers out there. You could could copy and paste your image on top of one of them, adjust the hue/saturation and do a little brush work.

EDIT: Added image. Content-aware gave some funny results, as usual. I ended up doing a lot of copy/paste and adjust lightness. Hope it looks alright.

akonikui, that did the trick. Thanks a bunch. After making numerous attempts in CS6 to resize, without getting what I wanted, I became brain dead.

Thanks again!

Mike

I believe it's 750 by 1334.

A few of them took almost no work - just a little resize and crop in Photoshop. The small one I remade and included two versions. That was fun!

Thank you SOOOOO much! This is awesome and just what i was looking for. Thank you for your advise with photoshop too. Im going to practice tinkering with it more just to try and better learn how to use it.

Another quick way to do this when you have a solid background as in your photo.

1.) CMD+N - To Create new canvas at 750 x 1334
2.) CMD+Delete - To fill canvas
3.) Go to File>Place >Enter - To drop photo on canvas
4.) Shift+Option - Constrains proportions when sizing
5.) Double click Layer 1 and add Color Overlay to match background color of photo.

I created this wallpaper in less than 15 seconds with this method. Learning the shortcuts in CS6 PS will save you an enormous amount of time.
