The summary is that some people want Apple to offer a 4" phone that has feature parity with the current 4.7" phone. And some people want Apple to offer a phone that is noticeably cheaper. Some of those are the same people (ie, they want 6s features for $200 less than what a 6s costs or they nebulously want a 'current' phone that is $200 less, which I guess an 'A9 light' would qualify for but not an A8 because the A8 is not current). But a lot of them are different people and half of them will complain if the '6c' costs within $50 to 100 of what the 6s costs (while essentially having feature parity with the 6s) and the other half will complain it it isn't at least $200 cheaper than the 6s.He didn't say that: he said he wanted a 4" phone and that he would like the advanced features rather than it being cheaper.
I don't understand this continued labeling of the 5c as a "budget" phone. It sold for exactly where the 5 would have sold: $100 less expensive than the 5S. And that's all it was, a 5 in a different packaging. It's been my favorite iPhone, and I'll be sad to see them abandon the plastic shell. I've liked it a lot, and much more than the plastic of the 3G/S. I've been awaiting a new 4" phone, too...but if it looks like the 6/S/Plus, it'll be my first one in a case in a while.
That was my main point, that whatever option Apple chooses some people will complain bitterly.
