The first batch of customers that pre-ordered the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus are beginning to see their order statuses change from "Processing Items" to "Preparing for Shipment" on Apple's website, less than nine days before the new smartphones launch on September 25.

The customers that have seen early movement on their iPhone 6s pre-orders all appear to live outside of the United States, with order status changes occurring in Canada, France, Germany and the United Kingdom. Apple has also begun charging credit cards for some of these customers, which is common at this point in the pre-order process but earlier than usual this year.

While some orders are now moving to the "Preparing for Shipment" stage, new iPhones will be held at FedEx, UPS and other couriers for delivery until September 25. In rare cases, however, some customers might receive their iPhone slightly earlier.

iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus shipping estimates range between September 25 and October 2 for several customers, but some iPhone 6s Plus and Rose Gold models may ship later due to stronger demand.

Apple began accepting pre-orders on September 12 at 12:01 AM Pacific in the U.S. and eleven other countries, with shipping estimates quickly slipping to 2-3 weeks or later for the most popular models.

iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s launch on September 25 at Apple Stores and authorized resellers in the United States, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the United Kingdom.

There have been no specific reports of order status changes on the iPhone 6s Plus yet, but the larger smartphone should also begin seeing movement soon as the September 25 launch approaches.

Mine has changed as well. I set an alarm for 1:55am (CST) on the night of pre-orders and kept refreshing the page. I have a bad problem. lol. Got my order in within two minutes of it going live though. Can't wait to get the 6S!

Mine said "Preparing to Ship" Since I ordered it. Nothing changed on mine and it completed 2 orders within 11 minutes. One rose gold 6s plus and one space grey 6s plus both 64GB. My ship dates are between Oct 16-23. Which isn't comforting. But, preparing to ship since I placed the order. SEND ME MY PHONE!!! :)

Your fast. :). I messed up as it didn't change my phone from the standard 16GB space grey on my first attempt. So I did the phone for my wife first, then mine. Figuring the Rose would be out first due to demand for a new color FFS! But still both my phones are showing the same message since ordering which is preparing for shipment.

I can't wait!

... for this time next year when my iPhone 7 is preparing for shipment.

Congratulations to those who are upgrading this year.

And us Dutchies need to wait until September 25, before we can place our pre-order. Don't understand why the Netherlands never is in the first countries. :(

Guess we'll have to have some patience. :p

In the US, I would be shocked if they show anything before Wednesday/Thursday next week. They are probably making their way overseas. The preparing to ship/ship notifications do not go out until they leave UPS, which is a next day Air service.

Usually if you have UPS my choice, you can find your package days before apple sends you the official tracking. It gets to the UPS hubs and sits there for another 3-4 days. In the past when they did 1 week turnovers, the phones were already in the US.
