I admit I was lazy when I typed up my previous responses in this thread.

I was under the impression that this thread was about discussing iPhone 6s camera, when did you become the maximum authority on the subject?
If you feel like it, post the links to the reviews you're talking about, otherwise I won't take your word for the truth, random internet stranger.
I'll just link to you 6 results from the Google search for "iphone 6s vs 6 camera"

And the DXOmark review is the only technical enough for me to care. The others are repeating the same marketing stuff about live photos, and 4K, and so on. Don't get me wrong, the iPhone 6S camera has a lot of better features comparing it with the 6's, but in pure "quality" of the shot, is very similar if not a little worse than iPhone 6 despite all the efforts Apple made.
My point in all this discussion, is that the 6S camera is very similar (and worse in some conditions by a little margin) and better in terms of features. I wouldn't recommend the upgrade for the camera alone, but for a lot of other things.

Hello. Last time I checked, the iPhone 6s had a worse camera than the 6. Have the iOS updates improved the camera yet?

I'm still confused, just not very technical on this matter. So, increasing the censor doesn't increase the pixel count like increasing the megapixel? How is more pixels a bad thing when it allows more places for light to hit?

it does not have a worse camera. there are things about it that are worse, due to having a higher megapixel count with the same aperture, but overall the camera is better.

It was not "universally agreed" that the 6s has a worse camera. That originated from uneducated internet spouting which formed a narrative which many people took and ran with. Most of the high level professional photographers I know a) would never use a smartphone camera to being with and b) agree that the 6s has a better camera overall.

This person had a very popular post where she compared every iPhone generation http://snapsnapsnap.photos/iphone-6s-camera-comparison/ and her conclusion was the 6s has the best camera in an iPhone. Shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. The amount of noise the 6s camera brings vs the 6 camera is insignificant unless you are professional and zooming in. And if you are a professional, you will not be using a smartphone camera - even if its a smartphone with a camera as good as the 6 or 6s.

Does the 6 do some things better? yes. absolutely. Marginally, but it does - however if you want the best point and shoot device that is an iPhone, then you will get that with the camera in the 6s. It gives very natural colours, and the sharper images make up for the higher noise levels.

consider this: in some ways, the 6 (and by extension the 6s) camera is actually worse than the 5s camera! the 5s has even less noise than the 6; does that make the 6 camera worse overall though? no, its overall better than the 5s camera as it has better colour saturation (more realistic) when it comes to portraits and the like...for landscape shots, its actually very similar to the 5s (but it has more details..) likewise the 6s has more details than the 6, and imo slightly, slightly more realistic colour saturation as well. From the 5s to the 6s, they are mostly marginal improvements in many ways...they all use same aperture too so the comparisons can be more direct

Another point, the 6s has a superior front facing camera to the the one in the 6...that can be a big selling point for a lot of individuals out there, especially with the integrated screen-flash capability. I would love to see an in-depth comparison between the front facing 6s camera and the iPhone 4 rear camera... (quick link to a simple front camera comparison http://www.businessinsider.com/iphone-6s-front-facing-camera-vs-iphone-6-galaxy-s6-2015-10 .. it is not by any means comprehensive, but you get the idea...8MP to 12MP is not actually a huge difference as some people may think, but 1.2MP to 5MP is a noticeable leap even at first glance of a photo, without needing to go through it with a magnifying glass so to speak)

And then if you want high quality video, only the 6s does 4k which is a noticeable difference if you're into that sort of thing.

But honestly, you can't go wrong with any modern iPhone camera...and if you are serious about taking pictures, you will use a quality DSLR, not a smartphone.

Every year Apple improves on the iPhone camera, and I am sure the 7 will continue to build on what the 6s started.

Thanks for the link, I see now. Man these people that spout incorrect information are horrible. Just because you're not buying the 6s, you don't have to justify that and say your 6 has a better camera. There is clearly more detail in the 6s images, but even then, phone cameras are nothing compared to actual cameras.

Jokes on you!

Even in that case the 6s score is the same as the 6. And the "cons" in photo and videos are the same: noise in the image under certain conditions.
It's a great camera. But if you are looking for a worthy upgrade, comparing it with the camera from the 6 -in terms of image quality, and lowlight shooting-, you're probably going to be disappointed.

Are you serious? All that stuff I posted and linked and you are still going to say that the 6 is better than the 6S (in terms of image quality and low light shooting)?

Its all over everything I posted that the iPhone 6S actually does better in low light and has better image quality if ever the slightest...

Stop with that. I don't say that the 6's camera is better. I say that there's almost no difference, and in the same conditions (e. g., low light) its going to be equally disappointing comparing it with a real camera.
If you like it so much, good for you.

EDIT: Actually, those "cons" I cited, I took them from one of the reviews you posted.

I just realized my 6s has a small line or dust in the flash. Is this normal? If not, how did it get there lmfao

What do you mean by line? As in the flash is one color on one side (top) and another on the other (bottom)?
