This particular party line is getting quite old and tiresome.

I'm sorry that the truth annoys you. Implementation has always been the difference between Apple products and others. The Wright Brothers invented the airplane and the Nazis invented the jet engine, but that doesn't make Boeing or Airbus any less important.

rose gold not too pink....

yeah, righto chaps.
looks like a Pink Phone to me
Yes it is a Pink Phone. Very Pink. I bought it for my wife specifically for the color.

What it clearly isn't... is Rose Gold. Not even close, yet that's no surprise since Apple makes its living off Hype and Influence.

This is indeed the best iPhone to date. Yet the small incremental improvements are neither life changing or must haves unless you're one who's ego dictates the latest is crucial to your self worth.

The other new iPhone 6S+ I bought is for my son who passed on an iPhone 6 Plus like I have solely because our years of experience have proven the "S" series are always better than non S models, a fact that's also the case this time around.

I only bought the 6+ based on the fact that I'd waited years for Apple to catch up to the spacious screens Androids had for years prior.

Now that Apple's caught up with display size I'll likely use my 6 Plus till the 7S+ is released. That'll give Apple plenty of time to catch up with other Android features.

I do agree that Apple is no longer "out in front" on the innovation as much as they were in the early days. But when they finally do "copy" a feature out there they do it way way better than anything Samsung can put out. When Apple finally comes out and implements it it makes the Samsung version look like a toy.

So though I wish Apple were out in front way more than they are… Apple will still be the only thing I purchase because of the high caliber of the product. You don't get to be the richest company on the planet worth 700 billion dollars in cash by just imitating at the "same level" as your competitors. You get to be at that level because your product is superior.

Wasn't Touch ID considered a gimmick just two years ago? I think we should wait to see what happens with Live Photos before we call it a gimmick. I mean, 4K video could be considered a gimmick. How many AVERAGE people will actually fully use 4K video?

I totally agree with this statement. Give it time before labeling it.

IMO Live Photos are quite artistic/futuristic and all my friends who actually tried it - and myself - simply love it.

Yeah. Live Photos are a gimmick. But they're also awesome. A picture of my 3 year old covering his eyes has more depth in it when you hear the "stop it" and the quick movement to cover up... I'm going to enjoy this. It doesn't need to be every photo yet certain situations the ability to have them is going to make it a lot of fun.

4K isn't so much of a gimmick. It is honestly unnecessary. I am sure the sensor isn't even true 4K and it will take up far too much space even on higher capacity phones. TouchID is a gimmick, but useful gimmick. Not just for unlocking phones but now how it is used for ApplePay. And honestly I am used to unlocking this way I wish my iPad 2 Mini had it. As for live pictures, I see absolutely no point. They said it is a stack of JPEGS and not a movie but a friend tested it and it still had sound? I don't see any usefulness in this. It will be the same as Siri. You just show it to someone that doesn't have it. And say oh thats cool, now what? I only use siri now to dictate a text message while driving. I have no other use for it.

People just don't know how to use Siri to the fullest. Siri entirely replaced a $30K a year part time administrative assistant of mine. That's how powerful her command structure and capabilities are.

If you are going to put a case on it, then what does it matter which color iPhone you get? The only real difference is the bezel on the front, because that is all you see (at most) if you use a case.

Yep. Never understood all the hoopla about back color. UNLESS you like going naked - with no case. Which I know a lot of people do. The front bezel is what matters. And there's only one phone left with the black front bezel: The Space Gray. To me - I jailbreak.. and icon themes just look way better against 'black' to me - then to white. Just my opinion.
