Wasn't Touch ID considered a gimmick just two years ago? I think we should wait to see what happens with Live Photos before we call it a gimmick. I mean, 4K video could be considered a gimmick. How many AVERAGE people will actually fully use 4K video?
Honestly the picture is crap.
My 6S Plus is sitting on my door step, but if the Touch ID is so fast, I do like seeing my lock screen from time to time. Seems like the obvious solution is to not add all your fingers to touch ID. On my 6 Plus I have all 10 configured, I might not do my pinkies and use those for lock screen activation.
it's also easy to turn off at the top. Just touch the little circle if you don't want. I think you can turn it off by default and then use the circle to toggle. I like them. I'm wondering if people with older iPhone can see them. I like them. Hoping more apps use the API Apple is releasing to use them.
"...diffidently..."?
I keep hearing that the S6 Edge Plus is much smoother running and overall better than Note 5..I have the Galaxy Note 5, and was also in love with the screen and camera and the form factor...but then I bought it and realized...again...that Android and especially Samsung's Touchwiz version of it, kinda ruins the whole experience.
4GB of Ram + an Exynos Quadcore Chip and my dual core 6 Plus with 1GB of Ram & iOS 9 was still smoother, even with some of the bugs iOS 9 has. It's SO frustrating.
Touch ID is annoyingly fast actually.
It must be mentioned though, the phone is very speedy and safari tabs are not reloading (so far)!
Maybe it's me, but Touch ID feels like it is the same speed.
EDIT: Nevermind, I usually hold my finger on the home button for a couple of seconds. I can definitely notice the speed now.
I had guessed. Chances are I'll actually have it off most of the time, as I only want a still photo.
Have to get used to pressing the power button instead of the home button when I only want to check the time/battery charge![]()
*annoyingly snappier
Fixed it.![]()
No more tapping the home button to see what time it is, Touch ID is too fast for that anymore. Not saying it's a bad thing at all.
Just to turn on the screen by pressing the home button unlocks the phone.
Some people have been saying use another finger but it feel natural to grab your phone and touch the home button and use your thumb.
At the UPS CC...Non-stop people coming in for iPhones.
It's a gimmick because in the 2 seconds I've had my 6s I don't like itWasn't Touch ID considered a gimmick just two years ago? ...logic checks out
hehe... what i tells ya "pink"
Personally, wouldn't Touch ID taking more time to scan be actually "more secure" some sort of way ?
if i place my finger on the Home button, i know i've done it base don the time it takes (which in this day and age people can't even wait 2 seconds before they tweet)..... it feels more natural... so obviously everyone would like a "faster" scanner .... users report they had no ide they even touch the button because it was so quick...
That's what i'm saying "i know i'm resting my finger on it" users with newer phones may not know because its too quick to even notice.
I'm loving my 6s Plus! However i think there is a fault with it...whenever i unlock it whether it's touch id or just using my passcode, the screen freezes up for a couple of seconds! It doesn't do it all the time but i'm worried there is something wrong with the phone![]()
Is yours the 6s Plus aswel?Might be software related. Mines been doing that sometimes too.
