Hi all,

Just wanted to know if Im the only one with this problem... Ive had my phone in an TPU/Gel type case since I got it. After taking it out of the case only recently, I noticed the paint or finish to have some very small and light spots on one side and around the top corners which are only visible when tilting the phone or the light hitting it at a certain angle.

It doesn't look like its been scratched but more like a lighter coloured finish to the usual space grey finish. I'm thinking its been caused by debris under the case that rubbed against the aluminium.

Anyone else had this problem??

Not sure my camera will pick up the marks/spots but can confirm it is no where near as bad as the pics in the link you posted.

So it's like the aluminum isn't chipped or anything, but in certain spots its just a lighter colour? If you run your finger over those spots you don't feel any change in texture or anything?

Yes not chipped or anything just seems lighter, my thoughts are that its very faint scratching caused by debris under the case. And no change in feel or texture when running my finger over the spot. Its very small but with my OCD the phone doesn't look brand new anymore!!

Haha, yeah, that would bug the crap out of me too. I say just slap your case back on it and try to pretend the problem doesn't exist.

I'm experiencing the same thing. I have been using a TPU case for over a year, and I have been gradually developing more and more tiny nicks from particles that get stuck between the case and phone. Haven't figured out a way to avoid this but I guess you could clean your case more frequently to minimize the marks.

Yes proper annoying but it isn't as bad you'd think just playing with my OCD thats all. Most people probably wouldn't even notice it.

Do you think you can get some pics up of yours??
