I love my iPhone 6s but I am having a problem that seems to crop up randomly at least once a day.

My touch screen goes completely unresponsive. 3D Touch doesn't respond at all and all other inputs are massively delayed. I power off my phone and turn it back on, I do a hard reset - nothing fixes the issues.

It just does this for 10 minutes or so and then stops.

For the life of me I can't figure out why it is happening.

Below you will find two videos of my phone acting up.

Is anyone else having issues like this?

At this point I did a full restore via iTunes and restored my encrypted back up.

The issue has come up again even after a restore.

Contacted Apple again and they told me to ship my phone in for repair since my local store doesn't have any. The phone is 5 days old, I'd rather return it for a new one than have it repaired.

I am on the iPhone Upgrade Program, so I am sure this will be a huge nightmare leading to me having another hard pull on my credit. The store employee could barely get me setup via IUP on T-Mobile, I cringe to think about having to return the phone and go through that process again.

Out of desperation I have upgraded to 9.1 public beta 2 to see if that helps.

I have an appointment for 6:10pm on Sunday. So if I am still having issues I guess I will see what the store can do for me.

Have your wife grade those quizes on that glitchy iphone ;).. then run like hell

I was just on my 6S and the same thing just happened to me. Not bad like yours but only when I go to siri suggestion page. It will get stuck there.

Uh oh. Mine has had the freeze up twice. 6s here too. Man, the rest of this phone is perfect. I either risk exchange to gamble on if I get another defect or I just stick it out...

I have no idea what I should do here...

Just out of curiosity... Have you checked to see what version of the A9 you have? I know this will cause a ********* if you have the non Samsung one... But if it is Samsung, maybe it will ease people's concerns.

When it started freezing I didn't know what chip I had. I stumbled into here and saw that application... Mine is TSMC...

Man, I knew someone would start blaming the chip on the first page.

I actually didn't even know about the two different chips when I came into here looking for similar stories. I hadn't kept up with what processor was what on the iPhone. My iPhone wasn't acting right, I wanted to see if anyone had that happen. Then I stumbled onto the application. I was like.. Oh. Okay...

I'm hoping it'll just settle itself in a few days. I've had it less than 8 hours yet.

My wife was complaining about this on her 5S.

I think it's iOS 9, not the iPhone 6S

And then I watched the videos. Yeah that's not right.

Some suggested a factory reset, just to test, but I think it's the touch interface.

My 6s Plus doesn't have this issue to the same degree, when I restored from backup I would get a freeze before opening apps after using the new Touch ID. I did a setup as new, and am trying everything out; no lag yet. (iOS 9.1 prompted my downgrade because the Notification Center swipe down gesture wasn't working.)

my 6s is very glitchy- it will open up super fast after touch id unlocks the phone then when I tap the message app it does nothing I have to wait several seconds and keep tapping to open the app- this is happening on other taps too. The phone does not vibrate when I hold home button down to activate siri either- frustrated

I have had this problem on occasion when a call comes in with phone being asleep and I cannot answer it because I cannot slide the answer call mechanism on the unlock screen. This has happened in all versions of IOS as far back as the iphone 4.

It is not new to iphone 6s nor is it new to ios 9. I try to sleep the phone and reawaken it. Sometimes that works but it can hang up the call. Pressing the home button does nothing either of course.

I have successfully answered with my watch or mac though :)
