Can't wait to upgrade from a 5s to a 6s plus! I upgrade once every 2 years, and I prefer the S cycle :)

Me too. The 's' models are always so much better and more refined than the non-'s' models. Sorry if this sounds mean, but the non-'s' models are a sucker's purchase, IMO - all glitz, "omg the phone is bigger!" without any substance.

I just seriously hope Apple will include 2gb of RAM with the 6s. At this point, that's all I care about.

Maybe I might upgrade my iPhone 4, or perhaps I might wait for the iPhone 7. Speaking of the iPhone 7, what number iPhone are we actually up to, if you count the "S" models as a separate number, I'd really be curious to know?

I also still have the now ancient iPhone 4, which is barely useable. I'm not the kind of person who upgrades every year and I thought I'd wait until next year's iPhone 7 though it would be a though wait. Above all else, I'm missing a decent camera.

Anyways, the iPhone 6s would be the ninth iPhone (you can go by the iOS version number)

I'd stick with my 6 Plus but the 6s Plus is going to have updated spectrum bands for T-Mobile's 700MHz 12-A spectrum, so I'm going to upgrade.

I'd imagine that maybe the case for others on other networks, wanting to take advantage of spectrum that their older phone doesn't have access to...

Feels odd when you upgrade, not for new features, but to get better reception..
Ha, I thought I was going to be the only one posting in this thread about band 12 compatibility. I live in a rural area and it sounds like T-Mobile's rural LTE expansion plans are going to be mostly band 12 for its larger coverage.

Interesting...my friends think the contrary....what's the point of buying the S models if they look the same as last year - nobody will know I have the latest thing.

In my case, I don't care since I sell my devices and upgrade every year.

Love my 6 plus. It's really going to take some amazing and useful features to get me to upgrade to the S series this time around.

I don't think this will. But then I'm happy with my two years contract and don't want to upgrade every year. Going from an iPhone 6 to a 7 will be a nice upgrade, I should imagine.

The iPhone 6 is the eight generation. Hence, iOS 8 :)

Can I ask a question about US contracts.. Cos folk seem to upgrade every year even if they are on 2 year deals, selling the handset to put the cash towards the New phone charge. But.. Surely there's 2 years worth of charges needed to be paid to pay for the handset and data over 2 years. Even if you sold the phone after 1 year you would still owe 12 months worth of 100 dollar a month payments ? I really don't understand this. In the UK, if it's 50 pounds a month for 24 months, we sell the handset for 300 after 12 months, we still owe the carrier 600 pounds, at 50 x 12..

Now that one i'd like. if Apple is a good a company they reckon they were they can do this without a home button..... If they are doing Force Touch, there is that answer.

Hopefully they release a 4 inch iPhone 7 next year. I love my 5s' form factor too much, the iPhone 6 is a pain to use one handed.

Sales will slide this time round. Not a fail, its just that last years spike was additional buyers and upgraders finally getting a proper screen size. Last years spike will be this years dip, then back to normal next year
