Ok, so went from a 64GB iPhone 6 to the 6S Plus and what a difference with the battery life? I am sure there are many threads on this but is there anything you can do? I am thinking of going to a 6S instead.

You have the phone with the longest battery life, by far. Switching phones will only make it worse. I get two or three days without a problem with light use. Rather than changing phones why not investigate what is using up the battery? What's running in the background? Facebook has always been an issue. Check you battery usage under Settings, Battery. Also Apple will check you battery for free if you want them to.

Are you doing anything different between the two phones? I would take a close look at your apps, how much you use them as well as what they are doing in the background. If you are not using different apps between phone then perhaps their settings are different. Take a peek at battery usage and compare the same apps between phones.

So...what difference are we talking about exactly? What exactly is "terrible"? Details would be helpful.

Out of interest, check what chip is in your iPhone. Google 'how to check if Samsung or tsmc chip' there are plenty of free apps that will tell you.

I had a 6s with the Samsung and later returned it due to poor heat performance and battery life. My new one has the tsmc and the difference is night and day.

This weekend, 6 hours of taking pics and using snapchat at Disney World took my 6s Plus from 100% to 8%. Even with "low power mode" on the whole time. I blame third party apps more than anything.

Your post is saverly limited in information. Almost non existent. Why don't you try and tell use the screen brightness setting, your daily usage, what apps do you still have open, have you closed anything. Give us a screen shot of your usage as well.

You have over 3,200 posts so you should know how to post for help a whole lot better

I had the 6plus and the battery life was amazing.

Agree, my 6 Plus had better battery life than my 6S Plus. Although not by much. I am fairly consistent as a moderate user and easily get a day. I don't let it run down too far before charging. Probably could go 1.5 days on a charge. I do run the brightness around 80%. A big factor that most users don't mention.

That means you were outside in the sun, meaning screen brightness at max. Taking pics means your screen was on, that uses the most power. Sounds like normal results.

If you suspect it was 3rd party apps, were they at the top of the battery stats page in settings?

It does not seem to hold a charge as long as my iPhone 6 did, I have been doing the same thing, texting, email, some light app usage and that is about it, also takes a lot longer to change it? I looked at app usage and the most battery consuming thing is the Lock Screen, none of my added apps take that much battery life. I can not get a full day of use out of it and I do not play any games.

New problem that cropped up is if I hit the home button for Siri, she is silent and if I ask her to text my GF, she says Uh Anthony we have a problem can you try again, she is not reading my contacts to find the GF's number. I have a Genius bar appointment for this tonight...

Good points, thought I thought low power mode tones down the usage of things like max brightness. Yes, snapchat used like 65%.

Places like Disney world are always going to run down battery faster not just because of more use but because the density of people pinging the nearby cell towers causes the phone to work harder to maintain a decent signal, which will obviously drain the battery. No way around it beyond airplane mode. Same reason the battery seems to die faster at sporting events and concerts.

No problems with my 6s plus 128

Easily get a whole day from a full charge, sometimes 2 days depending on usage

This was my usage time with my 6s plus with Samsung chip. I don't think it's a sensational runtime eh ?
Auto brightness on- also listened to music with display turned off, played maybe a game for some minutes.

Apple said it was a software issue, gave me a diagnostic report then went to AT&T adn they replaced with a new phone. I was not going to have Apple replace only having the phone for 2 days, the Serial Number would not match and I wanted AT&T to swap under their 14 Day policy as they did. Phone deleted some of my data by resetting itself then proceeded to wipe out my watch which the genius's said will happen since the watch is linked to the phone. Now that I have a new phone all setup, and watch restored, I am back in business, just stinks that I lost the stuff I did, but at least I am good to go now.

Apple exchanged my iPhone 6s several times for display issues. Now I got the 6s plus and get these run times. Is it worse than yours ? Or other 6s plus run times ?

My husband has commented in passing that his IPhone 6S Plus does not get as long of a run on a charge as his IPhone 6 Plus did. He actually preferred the performance of his iPhone 6 Plus but says he's had problems with the 6 S Plus. My experience on performance has been the opposite but I also do not get as long on a charge. Maybe an hour less per day. My husband and I both have the Samsung chips. I'm very happy with the stability of my 6S plus, though. It's the most stable iPhone I've had since iPhone 4.

My 6s+ doesn't last very long either..Did for the first few weeks (was lasting 2.5-3 days on a single charge). Now It barely makes it over half a day

FWIW, both my launch day 6s+ and my recent replacement (both are Samsung I believe) lasted all day, even getting as much as 8 hours of intensive usage at high brightness. I used to always have to charge my 6 twice a day, but I haven't had to do that with this phone even once. Seriously impressed with the battery life.
