Hello, I am posting here in hopes of figuring out my battery life issues with my iPhone 6s Plus. I have had the phone for about 3-4 weeks. It was set up as a new iPhone as I just switched from a nexus 5.

I keep my brightness around 30-40%. Bluetooth is always off. Wifi is off as soon as I leave home. Nearly all of my apps have background data turned off.

I have tried resetting the phone, and draining the battery completely and recharging.

Yesterday I got 1hr 43min use and I was at 20%.

Here's a screenshot for you guys. The phone never really feels hot to me but I rarely take it out of the case

Nothing stands out there. I'd take it back and see what they say, because that's appalling battery life.

Yeah I was excited to see the amazing battery life everyone raves about with the plus models but was disappointed when I found that the phone is about to die at the end of the day. My old nexus 5 would consistently get 4 hours of screen on time with background data enabled for most of my main apps.

I get 10 hours of 'screen on time' with my 6S+ using it heavily.

Yeah defo take it back to Apple, this is mine currently with 21% remaining.

What? Brightness settings? What do you mean by heavy use?

On an off day with nothing to do and too lazy to open the laptop I got about 7 or max 8 hours real screen on time (total of around 10 hours of usage time and 18 hours standby) contineously browsing (24 tabs open in safari, a few open on chrome), half the time streaming videos from websites with anime etc (about two to three hours of it), half an hour of hearthstone and some camera use plus whatsapp. Brightness occasionally at 40 or 50 percent but by and large on 25 or so.

Bluetooth and most app refresh off. Mostly wifi.

Am I beneath average battery life wise?

That's pretty amazing - I rarely get above 7 hours screen time, ~60% brightness, very good wifi or 4G signal. Overall I'm slightly disappointed by battery life of the 6S+, seems a bit worse than 6+ when it was new

I have brightness mainly around 30%, background app refresh off, no animated wallpapers, reduce motion on, location services off for everything (including all system services) except those apps which I want to have access, bluetooth off and WiFi on 100% of the time even if I'm out'n'about.
Samsung chip.

Here is best trial so far. Screen on entire time 20% max. Wi-Fi AirPort Extreme running 400Mbps with cable internet running 125 Mbps. When I slept a few hours kept movie running. Using AT&T Wi-Fi phone, so cellular shut off. This is about the absolute best I can see from 6s+. I found so much variation based on radios used and signal strength. Even same locations a day later can show wide variation depending on wall thickness, radio blind spots, etc. if your phone is cranked up, one day vs another day, to try and connect WI-Fi, cellular, GPS, then it's really hard to make comparisons with anyone else, let alone yourself. That's what I liked about recent consumer reports test. They had phones connected to in house cell and wifi towers so they could regulate radio strength and keep them the same. Also set screen to same brightness not by the slide dial alone, but with feedback from light detector so screens were putting out same amount of light.

Here is my try to maximize standby this mode I still got close to 11 hrs, with 105 hours standby. Again Wi-Fi at home. Some 3 to 4 hours of this was downloading Apple Music.

I'd hazard a guess that my phone would get max 12 hours under those circumstances, maybe 13 depending on what you actually did in those screen on times on safari and nbc app. Depends on the amount of actual browsing and consistency of activity.

There is a lot of chargers app, in App Store that can help. :)

I'm on 8 hours usage and 25 hours standby with 32% left

Looking at your screenshot nothing is using your battery so it has to be a faulty unit

Clearly there is something wrong with your phone, so I'd take it in for repair/replace. I leave everything on.. WiFi, Bluetooth. Use it with an Apple Watch so Bluetooth is busy. I often use GPS for hours. I heavily use my 6S Plus and don't do anything to conserve battery... not even closing apps... and I almost always have 40-50% battery left when I plug it in at the end of a long day. About the lowest I've ever gone was 25% when I was traveling and using the GPS a lot more. Yours is clearly broken. I don't think you could make my battery go down that fast if you tried.
