Never once did i think my touch ID to unlock took too long. video is really not that impressive.
I never thought it took that long to unlock either, but now I can just press the home button and it opens right up to the homescreen. You notice the difference. I don't even have to hold my finger on the sensor, it reads it in the time it takes for me to quickly press the home button. I've tried pushing the home button really fast to see if I could beat it, but it read my fingerprint every time. I think that is pretty impressive.

Why would they put the old sensor in their new technology? That doesn't make any sense, So yes, I'm sure the iPad pro will have the new sensor.

why would they put A8 in ipad mini? why would they put the old A8 and HDMIL 1.4 in Apple TV?

so Yes, I am sure Apple TV and ipad mini have the latest tech.

I mean there HAS to be something people like you do differently than others. I've never had Touch ID issues with my 5s or 6, and I rarely clean the home button. It boggles my mind when I hear of ppl having issues with it like this.
that's actually a pretty perfect and accurate example. I have issues like that all the time. It works at first and then all of a sudden it just stops working. I won't have issues until a few days later at most. Then it just doesn't register my fingerprint. I even scan the same finger multiple times from different angles so it'll get use to the tip of my thumb or the side or flat. It doesn't matter it will just stop working for me. "Try again" ugh! So I turn it off.

I don't know why you can't have Touch ID enabled without having to password lock your phone. I don't want to unlock it with a password not even every 4 hours. I don't want to use a password at all.

I like the idea of Touch ID but it's just not quite accurate enough in my opinion.

The iPad mini and Apple TV aren't really new, they are just being updated. We weren't talking about those things anyway. I meant the iPad pro is a brand new offering from apple, it comes with a new A9X chip. Even the name suggests that it is supposed to be an improvement over the other iPads. So really it makes sense that it would have their newest touch ID sensor.

You enable Touch ID and the software then wants you to create a 6 digit code - forcibly incase your fingerprint is not available, but isn't that the idea behind touch id - to stop using codes? Also tested my iPhone 6 touch id and its instantaneous - no delay.

I've noticed as well, coming from a 5s, and it's been a welcome change. Mis-reads are now incredibly rare, whereas they were the norm on my old phone; I'd have to try it a couple times to get it to unlock.

There are two simple solutions if you don't want the phone to unlock immediately. One is to use the power button, and the other (which I find to be easier) is to simply use any other finger to hit the touch ID button. I now use my index finger or the thumb of my other hand to wake the phone.

It does seem funny for folks to be complaining about a feature working too fast or too well.

The Live Photos is one of those interesting things that you need to have a situation for, but has tremendous possibilities as far as creativity. Like any camera situation, the quality of what you get has much more to do with the skill and creativity of the operator than the camera itself.

Lol.
Ever thought that maybe there might be a software glitch, or just a faulty Touch ID sensor on their device?
Heck even I had trouble after upgrading to iOS 8.4 and 8.4.1 and luckily it got fixed and is working properly on iOS 9. When mine was down, I searched online and a couple of other posters had the same problem.
Glad that you've never had problem with your devices, but I hope you don't stress your fragile mind too much over it.

I think its all in your mind. ;)
