iPhone 6s rose gold colour - a "male" option? [merged]

Don't really care what colors other choose for their iPhone but the rose gold won't be an option for me.
 
I view the color as pretty feminine. But that only means I wouldn't want it personally (also don't care for the gold at all). I wouldn't judge (or care) if other guys carried it.
 
I like the color itself but will probably stick to standard aluminum. Boring I know but I love the clean industrial look of stainless steel and aluminum. I say get the rose gold option of you like it. It's different and different is good. If anyone questions your masculinity just stare at them while scratching your balls and farting and it will remove all doubt.

This is a dumb comment. Why were you surprised? Apple wants to send the message that iPhone, no matter the color, is for anyone. It will probably make the purchase decision for males easier considering they showed him in the ad with that phone. You target it towards females only, and you immediately lose 50% of your potential customer base for that color.

And what is feminine, in the world of phones, exactly? It's a phone. It's not a pair of high heels, or a dress. It's a phone.

exactly, i just dont get it
 
I'm on the fence about upgrading but if I do I would go with Gold or Rose Gold. I find the other colors to be bland.

Neither a color, nor confidence, is gender specific. But if anything isn't manly, it's worrying about what people think about the color of your phone. I'd also say that's not womanly...it's just wimpy. If you like it, get it.

FWIW, I had a gold 5S when people were worried about it being too 'girly' and it looked great. My wife wants the rose gold (which would be mine now and hers next year), but I'm not a huge fan of the color, and I've wanted the silver for a while, so that's what I'm getting.

I need to see it in person but i guess i won't have the time since i will be pre ordering first thing saturday morning... thing is it all depends what it looks like in person , i reckon it would look nice with a white case on it..
 
If it appeals to you, then get it. It's certainly not for me, but why be concerned with what other people think?
