I just feel like, with the 6S+, it will be a lot more difficult to do 3D touch if you need to use the device one-handed. I also wonder how well the OIS will do for video on the plus model vs the regular since last generation OIS was only used for video

I love my 6 Plus. I've never had any trouble using it with one hand. Go for the gusto!

I decided to go for the smaller one. I just don't like the 6+ one handed. Plus, if they just would've made the screen a little better in the 6S I would've snatched it up anyway. The 6S size just works better for me right now. Hopefully that changes when the 7/7S series comes out, and maybe a plus version will be in my future!

I went for the 6S Plus coming from a 6. I assume I'll have to use the accessibility feature to reach the top left corner but I'm hoping I'll get used to it.

Welcome to the forum! "Fun sized chick". I like that. I never really thought about it but I guess I have big hands for my size.

I know I'm going to get my phone and grumble about carrying it like I always do. But unless the redesign of the internals causes new unanticipated problems I'm now at peace with the choice of the plus over the regular size.

Thanks for the welcome!

I don't think you'll regret it. There is no way in hell I'd return to a 5s and even the 6 seems a bit scrawny. I was reluctant to embrace the phablet. But I've been converted. Let me know how it works out for you!

This is purely my view. The 6S Plus is what I have choosen because to use one handed yhe 6 is too big anyway really without prolonged discomfort so if I need two hands I might as well get the bigger phone anywY. But it is inside that made me get the Plus.

You have a higher res display, better battery life and OIS. There is probably even more differences that would make me choose the larger model but these are the main ones.

At the end of the day though I feel if I am buying a premium product that is costing this much i should get the best version I can get. That is my priority, it all depends what you want from these devices as to which you should buy.

Double touching the home button activating Touch ID to bring down the display is super fast and works really well.

It is one of the features that sets Apple so far apart I feel to the competition. They put thought in to how you use the device and didn't just make it bigger leaving you to reach.

I got a 6 last year. The reason being that from the 5S it was already a nice jump. I also thought that it would be easier to carry, and it would look less silly.

However, a year later, and I think it will make the experience fun for me to move to the 6S Plus, it won't just be an "S" update for me, but a new size too. Plus, it seems to be more common to see gigantic phones now, so you fit in better than you did a year ago with one.

Still, if I find it much too inconvenient, I can always sell it, or perhaps even return it and move back to the 6S.

I'm surprised the Plus models ran out so fast again in the pre-orders. I thought Apple would be better prepared this year for the closer than expected split between 6 and 6 Plus. I wonder if this year that many more people are moving to the Plus than the already surprise number last year.

I understand Plus size isn't very popular in Europe? Not sure if that is true? It might feel a bit odd traveling with the plus, I'd probably prefer a smaller phone for travel, but I don't think you can make that an all out decider.

Unfortunately, the Apple Watch has made it more difficult to go back and forth between phones.

For me, I need the extra real estate for my tired old eyes. It makes a difference with all the low contrast text used these days. I've always been a 2 handed user, even with the 3.5" screen iP 4.

If I get another iPhone it would definitely be the + model. Even though I have long fingers, I always use two hands and the larger screen is now pivotal for me. I initially balked at the price, but preserving my vision outweighs the price of the phone. Battery life is another important aspect for me and the iP6 was disappointing in that regard.

Well, I was hoping reading this would finally make me decide between the two...

I've had the 6 Plus since launch, and was not at all planning on upgrading again this year. Then they announced the iPhone upgrade program, and I started really considering it. Since the keynote I've been evaluating if I really enjoyed having the Plus over the regular 6 and I'm torn between the two now.

I love the: higher resolution + larger display, OIS has really impressed me for videos, larger battery means I never have to worry about battery life

I don't love: the larger size (the bezels are the death of me), the lag (supposedly A9 + 2GB RAM will solve it this time around), and I somewhat miss the pocket-ability + being able to use my phone comfortably in one hand

I've realized I basically don't use my phone in landscape mode, and to me the keyboard on the 6 Plus in landscape is unwieldy. Considering dropping by a store to compare the 6 to the 6 Plus again. I actually reseved one of each in store on the 25th, so I have until then to decide now...

It's doubtful but I really hope that Apple decides to release a 5-5.2" version on the 7. If it has better battery life and resolution than the current 4.7" version, I think that might be my size of choice over the current Plus (unless they can keep the screen size but reduce the overall footprint a bit.)

I have a 6 Plus now and am getting the 6S Plus. I like the size and would not want anything smaller. My main reason for upgrading to the new model is the force touch. I'm surprised that they didn't call it an iPhone 7 since that strikes me as a pretty major change over any previous devices even if the overall appearance of the phone is the same.

I feel they could keep the same physical size and have a 5" model on the low end, and a 5.7" model on the high end. I would love a 5" 1080p iPhone. Hopefully they also improve the ergonomics of the device; that would be the only way I go with the plus model again.

As long as they don't increase the overall footprint of the device, I would gladly take a 5" version with better than current 6/6S battery life. However, if that didn't pan out, I think I'd be happy if they could fit a 5.7" screen into a device with a similar or smaller size than the current 6 Plus.

But yeah, one around 5" with a 1080p screen would be pretty good. Maybe with the 7. ;)

I'm hoping that they'll be able to keep the size of the phone and just reduce the bezel size so there's more room for screen! I have a feeling the home button could be going away next generation...

I have adequate hands. Still not worth it. I struggled with the 6+ (had to pre-order last year without ever actually holding them) for a few weeks before finally getting to swap it for the 6. Can't tell you the relief I felt getting rid of that beast. 6 is the perfect size. And saved $100 in the process! Of course, I also have friends who love the 6+... so YMMV.

Prior to the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus coming out - some PDFs were made so you could print on card and approximate the size of the device - should be still floating on the internet if you search for them - one at of getting an idea of how big the Plus is (and how it'll fit in bags pockets etc)
