Here is my chat with UPS about my delivery still showing in China, who knows if it is correct or not but this is what I received from them:
Initial Question: My package is currently showing in China, but the app says it will be delivered tomorrow; Should I wait at home for it?

The package needs to go through customs, that is beyond our control, once it clears customs we will be able to update the information to provide a delivery date.
Please continue tracking it, an update can be uploaded at any time.
Aaron: I was just worried since the last scan I saw showed it was in China still as of yesterday with nothing since then
Edy V.: I am so sorry, the package still needs to clear from customs in ChinA

In the same situation (tracking still showing it is in China, but delivery scheduled for 9/20). I chatted with UPS support and the agent asked if it was an iPhone. I said yes, and responded "Even if it's still showing in China, since this is an iPhone shipment, it will still be delivered on its scheduled date of Tues., Sept. 20." Some glimmer of hope for those of us stuck in China

I'd think that by tomorrow morning it would have to at least show 'out for delivery'. That would be a change in status. If by morning nothing has changed then it's still in limbo and one can forget about seeing it tomorrow.Interesting! We shall see!

Went back to the conversation (printed it) and the agent quoted "Tues. Sept. 20" which is what it showed and still does. Fingers crossed.

Is anyone's date keeps going back and forth? Mine was originally scheduled for the 21st, then it changed to 9/22. Then this afternoon it went back to 9/21 and just now changed back to 9/22
I'm beginning to think UPS somehow doesn't scan every package at every stop. I would have guessed a pallet of iPhones could be scanned and updated all at once, but maybe they have to do every individual package. With all of those hundreds of thousands of iPhone boxes, most probably get "accidentally" missed. I know mine magically went from China to out for delivery last year in about 4 hours.

I don't understand why the mobile/app say 20th, and if I hit switch to full site it says updated to 21st.
As soon as it shows an arrival scan at the distribution center you can head down there. The last two years I was in and out in less than 10 minutes
