Yeah, this is starting to get ridiculous. How do you 1) Have trouble with iPhones & Customs at this point in time. It's not like Apple is some small unknown shipping a few widgets on their first order. 2) How does a company specializing in logistics manage to lose track or whatever happened to many iPhones?

After staying up to pre-order, missing launch day delivery because I couldn't get my phone ordered until 10 "whole" minutes later, and then waiting for days for shipping updates, I understand the frustration. That said, I think some of the angst here is misplaced and/or short-sighted.

Apple definitely should have had more phones available for the launch. I really couldn't care less that Time Cook is a "supply chain genius." iPhones continue to sale at a high for months after the initial launch, Apple is confident in its ability to sell it's products. They just didn't get enough produced for the launch. As for the delivery delays, I think some perspective is required. First, Apple and UPS don't control customs. That isn't to say that one or the other didn't screw up the process somehow, but I think it's much more likely that the fault, if any, lies with customs. And even problems caused by customs may not be the result of mistakes or incompetence. Mid-Autumn Festival is a three-day national holiday that occurred on 9/15-9/17. On top of that, China was hit by a super typhoon with winds up to 175 mph, 40-foot waves, and up to 30 inches of rain. Close to 30 people died. Thousands of homes were destroyed. And ZhengZhou basically took a direct hit.

I'm really not trying to lecture. I'm annoyed, and I want my phone too. I just thought I would share some info because people may not realize all of the factors conspiring against our much anticipated iphone 7 bliss. ;)

I would think that if it's in Anchorage now it should make it on the truck for delivery tomorrow in Ohio, which is close to the Louisville hub. What do y'all think?

Based on my tracking, it says mine departed ICN at 22:46. I believe this means my phone is on UPS flight 99 about to land in Alaska any minute. Anyone else on this plane? Think we have a shot at Wednesday delivery?

Heres what my UPS profile shows

Yep, myself and a handful of others are carefully watching that plane as well. At least myself and one other person are in the baua
View attachment 655772 Wow I guess I was on the earlier flight to Anchorage...UPS99. Come on departure scan!!!

We're in the same boat... hoping for some movement soon!

I feel ridiculous emotionally tracking planes, but UPS 99 to Louisville is showing delayed.

Still seeing this... Was really hoping I'd get it by Thursday but I don't think it's possible anymore at this rate :/

Just looked at flightaware. Shows flight 99 on the way to Louisville. Says delayed on top but arrival in Louisville 1:28 rather than 12:45. Not a big deal.

For all of you UPS 99 folks, I just received this email from Flightaware:

United Parcel Service #99 (MD11) has just filed a flight plan. It is scheduled to depart from Anchorage Intl (PANC) at 03:08PM AKDT Tuesday (20 Sep) heading for Louisville Intl (KSDF) for an estimated arrival at 01:58AM EDT Wednesday (21 Sep).

Expected route: ANC8 TED ELLAM DB J511 YXY J515 YYE J537 YPE J601 J601 XD YWV J475 VLN J504 YDR GFK KP03G KG75K RBS RAMSE FRIZN3

Hi all, new member here.
I'm not sure how excited I would get about an Anchorage scan, I've had two in the last 2 days about 24 hours apart

My page changed on UPS99 it now says scheduled delivery 9/21 toward bottom of page, but main tracking still says not available. Anyone else seeing this?

Did you get your phone today?

I did not. Tracking has always been the 21st (Wed) but this morning it changed to "Scheduled delivery information not available". Been stuck in Louisville since yesterday. Slim chance it makes it to me by tomorrow. There's a flight from Louisville arriving at Ontario around 4am and at LAX around 4:30am. If thats enough time to get the phone to the truck by 6 then I should get it tomorrow.

Mine is finally only 90 miles away. If they'd let me, I'd leave right now and pick it up. Closest Apple Store is 300 miles away, so 90 doesn't seem to far. Heck of a lot closer than China.
