As soon as th Apple Store app came up the jet black plus was already pushed back a week. Went for matte black 256 plus with 9/16 delivery. Went back to place a 2nd order for a 128 matte black so I could decide which storage I wanted and the system wouldn't allow a 2nd order to be placed. But at that point the 256 had already gotten pushed back a week. So I got my order in in the nick of time.

Got in now. Placed upgrade program reservation for Friday afternoon for matte black 128GB on T-Mobile for a regular 7. Hate the 6s+ because it's just too big for small hands like mine. It'll be great to be back to a smaller phone; the Plus was an experiment that failed me badly.

Considered gloss black but in the end decided not to deal with the scratching and matte will also better match my case choice... not that much of the back will be visible anyway.

I do not have a problem with the headphone jack removal as I have a Made for iPhone hearing aid and stream music directly to it. The jack was always just a dust magnet for me and since I have a baby that loves to chew on things, the water resistance is a plus.
