That's what I thought. Thanks 🙂 I was asking more about the order status not changing even though it's tomorrow. Not sure if I should call them because something might be wrong.

Correct that's what I meant . If you're picking up your order obviously it will be there.

Called apple and they called ups they said it's still a possibility we get before the 19th but that's what they out incase they can't deliver sooner. Also was able to get a free leather case from Apple. Make sure to call and complain guys

It is leaving KY at 4:04 PM EDT est. and will arrive in Oakland at about 5:11 PDT est. Plenty of time to get to my local distribution hub in time for delivery tomorrow. below is screen shot of all flights leaving Louisville today.

No Cal folks shouldn't worry about it much unless UPS tracking says it's delayed. So Cal folks, like me, on the other hand... 🙁

Random question, but can anyone tell me what sort of packaging the Apple leather 7+ case comes in from UPS? Does it come in a UPS box or a UPS bag? I ask because the business next to me grabbed it when it was delivered and I want to be able to tell them what to look for in their mass amount of boxes they get everyday. Thanks!

It's a bag.
 
My daughters 7 plus just got an exception and won't be delivered until MONDAY!
That ^$%^$% typhoon probably caused the delay. It's on a flight from Japan right now.
She is soooooo bummed!

My 7 case came in a light grey padded bag from UPS.

I wouldn't worry about it as long as your pickup date still says 9/16. Pick up in store follows a different procedure than shipping directly to customers. I wouldn't be surprised if your phone is already sitting at your local Apple Store. The next status that we should see is "Ready for Pickup". I expect to see our status updated tomorrow morning, letting us know that we can come pick it up. They can't update to that status now since we can't pick them up until tomorrow.

I'm assuming that each store had a set amount of devices being sent to them. When we preordered and picked a store it set aside one of those for us. They eventually dropped that option once all of the units set aside for store pickup were spoken for. Each store will get its shipment and then somebody will have to go through their list of preorders and match up each phone with the preorder.

The reason we won't see any status changes, shipping information, or our device listed in our support profile until the last minute is because our phones aren't associated with us until after they reach the store as one big order and are sorted. Like I said, I'm mostly assuming along with certain things that I know from past experience, but this sounds right to me.

My phone has been in Louisville since Tuesday, but my wife's phone is on the flight out of Osaka right now. We are in Delaware, and hers still says end of day tomorrow. I agree, it seems like the further you are from Louisville, the more likely you're going to be delayed until Monday.

I received my two Silicone cases from Apple yesterday. The were in a grey bubble padded envelope. Hope this helps.

That flight is on 747. There will be a lot of unhappy sad faces on the west coast tomorrow. Mine included.

Lol! Well I hate to be a downer, but I don't think it'll get there before 10:30 AM, even if it's a business. 🙁

I'm not sure what service level Worldwide Express Saver is classified as, but I don't think UPS treats it as a Next Day Air (most likely they'll treat it is a ground service level package) which means it could be delivered around 2-3 PM, even though it's being delivered to a business.

But, I could be wrong! We'll know soon enough tomorrow!

I'm on the outskirts of Philadelphia so I'm hoping I make it. Usually Philadelphia sends it to Horsham for delivery so I don't know
