The Japan model is different to both the GSM and CDMA models sold elsewhere. (Supports FDD-LTE bands 11 and 21, in addition to different NFC chips)

Actually, getting your phone after Vegas is probably a good thing! I know for me, whenever I leave Vegas I'm sad, broke, and 5 pounds heavier lol. It would make leaving so much more exciting knowing you have a fun phone to play with when you come home! Plus, you don't have to worry about losing it, dropping it, or getting it stolen while on vacation. You can just enjoy your time, and come home to a present!! 🙂

Ordered the exact same phone and have the same ship dates. Ordered two actually at 3:11am EST and mine is still Processing ...
As the desperate folks in this thread got their phones it has suddenly started to die out.. lol

noob question here...i recently cancelled my preorder through verizon (128gb matte black 7+ with the payment plan) because i saw no movement and realized i could easily just pick one up at an apple store. my question is...whether or not i choose to go with the apple upgrade program or just the apple installments, how will i get billed? will it just work with my verizon plan i have now and ill see it on that bill or is it completely separate?

It shouldn't as both phones have identical bands. It's just the Verizon model accepts CDMA. In terms of LTE, you should be fine as T-Mobile uses LTE bands 2, 4, and 12, which both models support.

For the initial apple upgrade program I had to give a credit card # and answer credit questions. One hour later I had confirmation I qualified. They took out tax and the first payment from my card. I was able to change to ach from checking after that. Good luck.
I can't believe it was preparing for shipment for so long, crazy! Yeah that sucks you won't have it before you leave but cool that it's coming a whole week early! Have fun in Vegas!!!!

Keep in mind that preparing for shipment isn't just one little phone on a plane. It's a massive brick of boxes with boxes in them containing boxes phones.
Theyre filling up entire cargo planes with as much as they can fit as fast as they can fill them up.
So, 3-4 days is the process from 'registering' the phone to you, boxing it with your address on some assembly line, putting those into boxes. And possibly into an even bigger box. Loaded onto a pallet, wrapped, strapped down. Loaded into a truck. And then trucked to the airport. Unloaded and then loaded onto a plane. Checked and double checked. Loaded, strapped down again, and repeat for a ton more pallets.
And then the plane is ready to take off the captain and crew arrive, paperwork is filled out, and when weather and visibility are good, clearance is given and the plane takes off.
I mean, 3-4 days for whole that process is nothing!

Seriously just made an account because I'm getting so impatient haha. I'm reallyyyy sick of my Note 3.
I ordered around 3:35 AM EST on 9/9 (ordering didn't even open up for me until about 12 after the hour). Matte Black Plus 256 Gig AT&T model, unlocked version. Status finally changed to shipped on Saturday. Went from 9/27-29 delivery to Apple saying 9/22 and UPS saying 9/20. Yet UPS is saying my phone is still in Zhengzhou. I have a bad feeling it won't even get on a plane to the US until 9/20...hoping to wake up to it being on a plane out of Incheon but I'm not gonna hold my breath.

The UPS site now says delivery by 3 pm, so fingers crossed! No movement from Louisville yet, if that is in fact where it is. Lol.
You, me, and JoeyAlex are the last remaining 3 from #TeamTyphoon. Tomorrow better be it! Otherwise heads will roll.
I did something similar, only I wanted a different color and a bigger gb. I returned it at an Apple store and turned right around and ordered the new one. It already says preparing for shipment though I don't expect it to actually ship for a little bit.

Mine changed to shipped this morning. Apple states 9/22 as delevery but UPS states 9/20 as delivery with an early afternoon delivery time frame. Even see it in my support profile. Gonna get the manufacturing date tomorrow . Tuesday..htfu. 48hr PFS status.
Hey plus owners, whats your primary reason for choosing the bigger phone? I think my biggest concern is that I can't use it one handed and that is kind of a big deal to me.
Mine is with yours. My guess is yes we will get them! They should be on a plane soon as it is 10:00 am Monday morning there! They will hit Alaska at some point tomorrow afternoon and Kentucky tomorrow evening! They should leave KY late tomorrow night and make our hometowns Tuesday Moning and on trucks for delivery that day! They will move quickly! This is my 4th pre order and at least this has been my experience so far! The weekend never helps and even I have been updating frequently!! Good luck to you!
