I've been lurking on this thread tracking my pkg along with the rest of you for about a week. Curious if everyone who has spoken with a rep used the standard UPS number. I've never had any luck trying to figure out the number to our local hub. My phone was on the UPS99 flight and showed arrival in my town about 40min ago. It's showing the Oct 11 delivery date like many of you. I tried to do a hold for pickup assuming maybe if it was processed and held at the hub today then I can have it in my hands by 6pm closing time. It only gave me the option to pick up on expected delivery date. I called UPS and spoke with two different people. The first lady said that it still shows a transit time of two days meaning that it will be delivered on the 11th. She also said that it won't be at the hub until it shows "Destination Scan". She didn't specify how long that could take. She also said that I wouldn't even be able to do a hold for pick up because apparently the sender, which I assume she means Apple, has requested that pick up not be available which is obviously a lie because many other people have been able to pick up their packages at their local UPS stores or hubs.
The second lady that I spoke with basically told me that the destination scan wouldn't occur until the delivery date itself. I asked her if it was at all possible that it could happen today and once that destination scan popped up could I go in and make that old for pickup change. She said no.
So basically I got no help. I've noticed a few of you have just mentioned that your dates changed from 11 to today so I'm hoping that happens in my case. Fingers crossed!
