i am very annoyed also. I got through about 3:07 for the regular black, had the order all ready and it said to be delivered next Friday. When I went to finalize an error occurred and took me back to the main page. I had to start the whole process over and now its set to deliver Sept 27-29. Been on hold now for 49 minutes.

Just ordered Sprint 128gb Plus Jet Black. Enrolled in the upgrade program. Shipping is November but I'll most likely be getting it on launch day like every other year I've preordered.

I ordered finally at 6am MST after giving up last night. I'm November, too. I'm hoping it's much sooner once they ramp up production and cancellations start rolling in.

I'm flaming mad. Stayed up until 3 a.m. Had the iPhone 7 Plus jet back favorited, shipping address and payment method prepped and checked. Was on both my iPhone and my iPad constantly reloading the Apple Store app and didn't manage to even connect to the store until around 3:15. To make matters worse, I'm on T-Mobile which had worse availability than other carriers. Jet black was already at 2-3 weeks, and as I was checking availability of other colors it slipped to 3-4 weeks and then November. Finally I just said "f*** it" and ordered the matte black which by that time had slipped from Sept 16 to 2-3 weeks. It was at this point that I found out that you cannot enroll in the upgrade program with T-Mobile online. So I had to pay outright. To add insult to injury, as I was dealing with all of this ridiculousness, the Apple Watch Series 2 model I wanted also slipped to 2-3 weeks shipping.

When I woke up this morning and checked again, delivery times were the same as they were when I signed off last night at almost 4 a.m. So yeah, staying up to preorder was a supposedly fun thing I'll never do again.

I feel ya....though it seems I didn't get as crappy of a deal as you, I'm still pissed.

I've pre-ordered almost every year. Stayed up until midnight (PST) and always gotten a launch day ship (or pick-up). Last night I was up and refreshing 3 different devices (iPhone, iPad and MacBook), the soonest I could get on was 12:15. I have a 10/4-10/10 ship date. Sooooo frustrating and a waste of time. And also like you said....its nearly 10am here and the ship dates are the same as they were when I pre-ordered. What a f*cking joke.

Unfortunately not. Mine isn't shipping for "2-3 weeks", but is also "processing". It will stay "processing" until it switches to "preparing for shipment".

Don't be surprised if your order is in that status through the weekend: sometimes the status doesn't change to Preparing or Shipped until a couple of days before the scheduled arrival date.

I bet you'll get it on the 16th even if your status shows "processing" through Tuesday.

When the watch came out it was still "Processing" the morning I got it. "Delivered" by that night. Don't worry.

Managed to get my order in for 7/128/black this morning around 9:30 central daylight time after numerous failed and frustrating attempts last night.

It said deliver 9/16 on the confirmation email, so hopefully will get it then.

It makes sense. Put in an order for the same phone at 3:08 am and it was scheduled for October 4th-10th.

I just got a phone call from apple asking me to confirm my order. That was so weird... I dont normally answer random numbers but I did and she said she was from Apple asking me to confirm my order and read me back the details, minus my order number directly to me. I said yeah I can confirm that and she said congratulations on ordering it because she wasn't able to get one yet and wasn't sure if she even wanted to upgrade because she has the 6S already....

Weird right? Anyone else get a confirming phone call?

She said now it change from Processing to preparing to ship.

Just adding my experience from this morning (in Germany) here as well.

Finally got in the Apple Store via the iPhone app at around 9:06am (so 5mins after the official pre-order time), went to my favourited itemis as quickly as possible (iPhone 7 Plus 128GB matte black & watch series 2 aluminum black 38mm) and hit checkout only to get 27 - 30 Sept as shipping date.

No one tell me they're skipping this year's iPhone waiting for iPhone 8 ever again! 😉

Since it's showing I won't get my phone until a week after launch its a good time to remember why I do these preorders. It's not because I really need a new phone since I've got a 6S+. I really enjoy the comraderry of the community we all share. I've even met some great people queued up in line at Apple stores on launch day. Nonetheless, that always ends when we get the gadget. So I get an extra week this year.

Re-reading this thread, it seems that there are people in both camps here.

The att site came on for me at 1:54am. My daughter was able to order a rose gold 7+ 158gb with no issues for delivery date on sept 16. At the same time, I was trying to order the jet black but it gave a ship date of last week of September. The apple app didn't work for me until about 2:15 and it kept giving me errors. When I deleted my configuration for the silver 256gb it still had a ship date of sept. 16. By the time I was finally able to complete the ship date said sept. 27-29. So disappointed.
