Carrier iPhone 7/7+ AT&T Pre-Order Thread

A guy came into the AT&T store I was at yesterday. He preordered the + and AT&T shipped him the smaller 7 instead. He was pissed and the rep was baffled. Obviously they didn't have a replacement plus in stock so I'm unsure what they ended up doing for him.

Mine showed backorder earlier but I just got my tracking number. I'm hoping everyone else with the shipping date of 9/23-9/30 will get their shipment notification soon.

I got 2 emails one had the tracking number in it
 
Has anyone who did the reservation and pick up in store had the option to use ATT Next program or were they required to use the IUP?

Anyone seen ATT or Apple ship from GoodYear AZ? My order status is the same via text and online (preparing to ship) and some how someone is shipping me something from thier via USPS. I am waiting on a matte black 256gb phone ordered launch night like everyone else and the USPS site doesn't have any useful info.. I'm in Littleton CO

1 person here claimed it; although I got no answer if he/she called the store first.

From what I could see reservations are for iphone upgrade program only; separate stock. If you go through Apple.com and hit but the phone they say in store pickup not available.

I got it through the Apple year upgrade reserve link, but when I got there they brought the phone out and asked what I wanted to do. I asked, and had the option to do anything I wanted, with any carrier, up to and including buying the phone outright.

Once you reserve the phone, you'll get a confirmation email. The confirmation email has a FAQ section, that states that you can either pay full price or under the carrier's financing. Now, if they actually allow you to this once you get in store.. Is a different question.

Here is the exact wording of the email from Apple:

FAQ
Can I change to a different for, of payment for the iPhone upgrade program?
Yes. You canal so upgrade your iPhone to carrier financing or purchase at full price. Ask a specialist for more information.

I don't see how they wouldn't allow you to buy it outright or do NEXT, they have the same option on the website.
 
Well my Delivery date changed to Tuesday, not really upset, still getting it this week, so I'm happy. Curious if FedEx will ship it out tonight, since they picked it up at 6AM this morning, or if they will wait till tomorrow night, either way it's not a big issue.

Happy to see more people getting tracking numbers.

Yeah, i definitely agree. I was just saying, I hadn't went and picked mine up yet, so I wasn't 100% sure certain of that fact.
