I just placed a new order with Apple and got shipping estimate of Oct 12. But somehow I feel I will probably get it before i would have received my AT&T order with Sept 29 ship date. I have been following the Apple order threads and have seen October orders shipping. Still going to check stores and follow this thread as I feel a connection to you guys. Thanks to everyone for being so helpful and I hope you all get your phones very soon.:)

That makes no sense to me. Both the email and the confirmation I got when I reserved a phone today (decided not to drive 3 1/2 hours each way to get it) said I didn't have to use their upgrade program to purchase it.
+1. I had zero problem plopping down cash and scooting away with my new iPhone.

It's incredible that barely any JB iPhone + models have shipped. Apple must have not shipped much of this model on launch day and didn't anticipate the overwhelming demand.

Will purchasing an att iPhone at an Apple Store still work with next? Or did they just change that as well? Also, will buying the phone with next at the Apple Store work if you're on an att account with other people?

Honestly, I'll have to say this, I pressed the order button willingly, after being given the 9/23 to 9/30 ship date. I'm happy I got the place in line I do. I do expect my 128gb mb 7+ to ship by 9/30. Anything past that will be upsetting to say the least. Here's hoping for 9/23 ship date but doubtful.
Yup, at the end of the day ATT is still within their shipping quotes for most of our orders. Its this thread thats poisoning :p everyones mind with the expectation of getting our phones earlier than what was originally quoted when we pressed the pre-order button. The saltiness started to pore everywhere when some people/trolls got earlier ship notifcations than others for the same device, and some of those people got a good nights sleep on the 9th and order hours later in the AM and have their phones now lol. Im just not going to sweat it, unless my phone slips out of the ship window and Im still somehow waiting for it. Still checking my status every hour though

Mine were, and still are, 9/23-9/30. Blk 7+ 256 ordered 2:18 central. Still PFS.
Same I ordered mines at 9:00 central hopefully we will see some movement early in the week but a rep did tell me that everything was on track for 23 but don't be surprised if it came earlier so I'm just waiting I'll trip after the 30th

Well, I followed the advice of some people here. Reserved a Sprint 256 plus MB using the link provided. Intended to purchase it at full price, pop in my AT&T SIM and walk out in minutes. Didn't work out that way. Janelle, the senior manager at the University Village Apple Store in Washington said nope. She explained that I used a link that was reserved for people who used the IUP exclusively. Refused to take my full payment of $1000 plus cash. Only way I was walking out with the iPhone in front of me was to sign up for the program, and then only on Sprint. So a waste of many hours of time. Never had a store flat out refuse to sell something at full price. Unlike any experience I've had with this particular store in the 14 years I've been purchasing stuff from there. If Apple has actually gotten so big in their head as to refuse a cash sale at full retail price, I kinda don't like them any more. Granted, there are obviously supply issues and they are trying to do damage control for the people who tried the IUP upgrade but couldn't get a reservation, but Janelle was just so unlike a typical helpful Apple employee and offered zero help or really any care as to why this policy is in place.

Morale of the story? Don't waste your time. It's worth more than Janelle and her crap attitude.

Call Apple corporate and tell them. That isn't correct at all.

Even the confirmation email you get when reserving the phone under the FAQ part CLEARLY says in black and white that you can pay on IUP, carrier financing or full price.

Maybe Apple will overnight you one to make up to call that store and make them sell you one if they still have that config.

That makes no sense to me. Both the email and the confirmation I got when I reserved a phone today (decided not to drive 3 1/2 hours each way to get it) said I didn't have to use their upgrade program to purchase it.

Something is not right! I jumped on the reservation system and had setup a matte black 128gb 7+ last night for today but required a 45 minute drive. Around 10am today saw same phone but silver 10 miles away. Snagged the reservation for 12pm for a Verizon 128gb Silver 7+. Went in and purchased it straight up on my CC and they took my 6+. I then popped in my ATT sim and phone works like a champ. So maybe poopy power trip lady blocked him? I cancelled my order today with a giant smile on my face!

Still no movement...pre-ordered at 2:58am 09/09. I just don't want to be at work and my phone is mysteriously delivered without any notification from AT&T or shipping company. I'll keep checking Apple's website for a reservation if I can find somewhere close with the phone I want.

Btw, it's not a fake pic. My 6 plus is just jb.
