Mine is sitting in the never ending "Preparing to ship" status. Ordered around 2:20am 9/9. ATT didn't process my order til 12:50pm on the 9th. So who knows when I'll see mine. Current ship date is last week of Oct.

Dang. My order was placed at that exact date and time for the MB 128gb + model. My order never saw any movement, was stuck on the same preparing for shippment status for two weeks till this morning.
Your time is near pal. I know how you feel.

Timezone? I'm in Mountain...So 6:55PM for me was 23 minutes ago. So that would give me hope there's still a chance tonight. But if you're in Eastern Time Zone that would be 2 hours ago for you already so hope would dwindle a bit.

Whats your estimated ship date? Dont expect it until then. Thats why they give you these ship dates.

Yeah oops. 6:55pm Eastern. Also did not notice it go to "backordered" like others have before shipping (I checked order routinely). I think it went straight from preparing.

No way to know what model or size. There is 6 planes out of anchorage to Louisville KY right now. 2 are MD11's, supposedly thats the ones with the iphones on them. A 3rd MD11 is headed to L.A. and another MD11 is on its way to anchorage. Thats a lot of planes for one time from what I've seen Lets hope they all have iPhones on them.

My phone went to back order sometime overnight, 7+ MB 128GB, preorder 9/9 11am. Still no shipping and I reserved a silver 7+ for today at apple. Figured I would cancel my ATT order if I did not get a tracking # before my noon reservation.

Time comes and no tracking info. Try to cancel via the app, no luck . Says I can't do it because my phone is in the process of being shipped. Call ATT, talk with two supervisors and they can't cancel it since it is the cancel button is greets out on their screen. My phone is waiting on the shipper to pick it up and scan into their system so I get my tracking number. I didn't have time to waste to have apple attempt to cancel. Damn ATT. If your phone gets to the point where it's waiting on FedEx to pick it up, you may not be able to cancel. Or maybe ATT is full of crap.

At that point the phone is considered "shipped" and an order that has shipped really can't be canceled.

View attachment 658202 Ordered 256 MB plus on 9/9 at 10:18 am PT. Shipping dates were 9/23-9/30. At 6am 9/22 called *6737#, went to back order sometime between midnight and 6am. Shipping info the same day at 8 PM. Delivered 4pm 9/23. Central Coast California.

I'm in Central Coast California as well, I don't get my MBA 7+ until end of Oct.

Can't confirm but the planes that have been flying from China with iPhones are MD11s

More evidence from @Ronnoco:

I had a UPS pilot tell me so. Also, many of those planes coming into Louisville from Anchorage originated in the cities where the iPhone factories are located. Some of these Apple preorder people are like professional flight trackers. It's truly amazing how they do what they do. To track a single phone to a giant UPS Jumbo jet coming from China carrying a quarter of a million phones. A little scary actually, Lol.

Guys wow.. by those numbers were looking at 1.2 million iPhones coming in tomorrow. Max roughly per plane is 200k I think. I've also heard 195k or so.

Get the backorderd text finally today at 7:30am on my 7+ MB 128GB pre order 9/9 11am. Also reserved the same one but silver at Apple Store just in case. Wait on tracking, nothing. Go to Apple Store and can't cancel my order because fulfillment has it. Two att supervisors can't cancel it. Can't cancel it online either. Now it's almost 10pm and nothing has changed online. Still preparing to ship and still get the same backordered text and no shipping email or text. I really don't like ATT right now.

I got a text from AT&T the other day saying Note 7s would be back in stores this past Wednesday.

They are but only for customers that had previously purchased a defective note 7.
