Carrier iPhone 7/7+ AT&T Pre-Order Thread

I received confirmation of my 7+MB 256G ordered 9/11 was shipped on the 21st and will get it on Monday via FedEx. I was originally given a 10/7 - 10/14 expected delivery.

Question -- were your charge cards charged? I was initially given a pending charge of the phone (outright purchase) but it dropped off ~ a week ago. Even though I'm tracking my phone, I still haven't been charged yet. Any idea on this? Shipment began on a weekday so just wondering? Oh and the phone is coming here to the DMV area in the Maryland side.

If you are in a big city, its going to work against you. The UPS/FedEx planes and trucks are only so big, and the priority is going to remain with all the shipments that are NOT preorder iPhones, because that's the normal business. FedEx can't just deliver 50,000 iPhones per day in NYC. They spread out the orders based on total package volume in any given city.

If the customer (at&t) paid for overnight delivery, FedEx has committed to at&t to provide that service so FedEx brings on more workers/trucks, etc. Basically if they've accepted the package, they are on the hook to deliver (or I assume get paid MUCH less for their service).

Any movement on 32gb, Matte Black 7 Plus? I ordered on 9/10 at 11:00am with ship dates of 10/7-10/14. Really hoping I can get my phone by next week.
 
2x iPhone 7 JB 128 backordered. Ordered 9/9/16 @ 12:03pst. Bay area. Does anyone know how long it usually takes for them to ship after backorder?

I can attest to this as a veteran Fed-Ex driver told me they add a ton more routes during iPhone launch.

Thanks, just checking on my AT&T brothers and sisters to see if they finally caught up on shipping to the people that ordered early on prelaunch night. Looks like things are rolling now.You are going to LOVE that iPhone. I haven't taken my eyes off mine in two days. Lol Such a beautiful, premium device. It is a lightning fast device as well, and when those to two super cores kick in, that thing gets hot on the back. That's the price you pay for laptop-type speed with this pocket rocket. It is literally like having an i7 MacBook Air in your pocket...but faster.
It'll be worth the wait.I went to the ATT business center near me yesterday to trade in my 6Plus for the $650.00 trade-in. Took 5 minutes and I was out of there. My monthly cost for the phone went from $36.00 a month to 11.50 per month. Not too shabby.

6737 says backordered. Website still says Preparing to Ship. Checked UPS, FedEx and USPS, none have any scheduled packages to my address. I'm assuming Monday it'll ship out.

absolutely LOVE the matte 256. The thing is a speed demon. I think I was lucky getting maybe the only ATT Supervisor that went the extra mile and contacted a friend he has in the warehouse to check on inventory and what exactly was shipping when. He was pretty accurate. I think most will receive their phones on Monday and Tuesday. I have to say, as much as I hated waiting a week past launch day after staying up so late and ordering so quickly, it was WELL worth the wait. This thing BLOWS AWAY my 6 Plus. Night and day. Still won't buy from ATT again, but happy to have my new baby! Lol Enjoy yours, it truly is the best iPhone ever made. Btw, the 256 is so nice to have. I put my entire 15,000 iTunes library on the thing and it still has 130GB left. Love it.

Do you actually think I have a chance for this coming week? My estimated ship date is late Nov early Dec.

That's a really late date, but one never knows with the way ATT works, you just might. I would definitely be checking stock at Target stores and even Apple. Apple seems to be getting a lot of Plus stock lately. I read the article saying they are for IUP people only, but two Apple stores I spoke to said they would sell the phone to anyone that reserves it. Even some Best Buys and Walmarts are getting more stock now.
I just checked Apple Store stock and several have the Matte 256 Plus in stock. If I had a JB Plus scheduled for late November or early December, I might consider picking up a MB 256 Plus. They are just stunningly beautiful phones.

Glad I can help. This has been an absolute debacle, but it seems since Apple has released more stock to the main carriers, things have improved drastically. I really do think yours will ship either tonight or Sunday/Monday. I heard AT&T warehouse employees are working round the clock, weekends too. They seem to be really trying to get that stock out to the buyers now that they actually have the stock. I think you will be alright. :)
