Carrier iPhone 7/7+ AT&T Pre-Order Thread

I suppose Apple orders show up earlier in UPS's tracking system because they ship from China to the destination/hub in Louisville and many ship right from there to more regional fulfillment centers closer to where the group delivery sorting is pointing to, but all within the UPS system. This seems like the most rational explanation for this which is why we won't see anything for another couple of days. The planes need to reach Louisville and then the phones make their way to Dallas and once they sift through how many they got our orders will start updating with tracking information. I don't know why AT&T doesn't get more information from Apple regarding how many phones for AT&T are on those planes or maybe AT&T does know but they couldn't care less about updating information for their customers, the whole under promise and over deliver thing.
 
Ok guys so I know I'm a little(way) late but I'm about to pre order the 7 plus in regular black, 128GB because I just paid off my 6S plus. Now last year when I pre ordered, it had a ship date of late October and it shipped about 3 days offer they started shipping. Now do you guys think I'll get it soon if I order this late? The ship date is mid October and last year it was like that(and I ordered day 1) and I got it way sooner. You think I'll still get it very soon like last year?

There is literally no way to know but my hunch says you will get it sooner but there is no way to know how much sooner. Sorry :(

It's ok! I'm not expecting it launch day at all but I think it'll be around the end of September or early October but I can hope!:)

It would appear that UPS handles everything for Apple after the ordering process. Shipping from the factories in China to the Louisville hub, then fulfillment to the end buyer. They handle all of the logistics from factory to home delivery to drop shipping to Apple Stores. ATT and VZW either prefer to do their own fulfillment, or they simply do not have the shear number of phones to ship as Apple (all iPhones) to make contracting out complete fulfimemt worth their while.
 
Has anyone had problems upgrading after an insurance replacement iPhone replaced your original? Att sent a brand new replacement when ours had water damage. I cannot upgrade now and I speculate that is why.

I see two people have posted about this same error with previous iPhone releases - but they never posted what happened after, if it actually meant anything
