No, for a couple of reasons.

1.) They won't have the configuration that I want;

and 2.) Apple reservations are now meant for those who did the iPhone Upgrade Program. They said they were receiving a lot of people who were canceling their orders from their cell phone carrier and driving out to the nearest Apple store. Basically those who canceled their orders online were picking up iPhones from the Apple store, whose stock was meant to fulfill the IUP orders first.

Okay just throwing it out there as I was able to find my exact configuration phone this morning except it was Verizon as that works with GSM as well. I also had questions about the payment and went to the payment options in the FAQ.

Here's what it says about payments and other FAQs..

Frequently Asked Questions
  • When you come in for your reservation, let a Specialist know you’re there to upgrade your iPhone through the iPhone Upgrade Program. Once you check in, they can answer all your questions and help you set up your new iPhone just the way you like. Please allow at least 30 minutes to complete your transaction.
  • Yes. You must be currently enrolled in the iPhone Upgrade Program, so that you can upgrade your iPhone to carrier financing, or purchase at full price. Ask a Specialist for more information.
  • You can’t change or cancel your reservation. However, if you’d like to change the model you reserved, a Specialist can check the availability of a different iPhone when you come in. Due to high demand, the availability of some models may be limited.
  • Please arrive as close to your check-in window as possible. If you’re late, or if you miss your scheduled time, we may not be able to hold the model you reserved. This means you may have to make another reservation.

So jealous. I'm in Louisville and haven't had any movement so far. Good luck with your new phone when you get it!
Hey Girl, I'm in Georgetown:). If I knew then what I know now I would have called to see if I could pick my phone up there. Hope you find out something soon. Have you called *6737#?

True that. There was a dude here who gave up his 6 plus and is now using an iPhone 4 as he waiting for his 7+ to arrive. Now that is real torture.

Selling my 6+ to but the 256 JB 7+, I had my number transferred to a 3GS. Pure Hell. Then went out and got a cheap Android to tide me over. Deepest purgatory next to hell.

Nary a sign of movement since 3:30 EST the early morning we all remember.

Apple reportedly changed those FAQ quite a few days ago to not read carrier financing or full price. So it would be in your store's discretion if they say something; or they may not.

Yeah. I've been doing it once in the morning and once in the evening for like the last week. Still in progress. So sad. I'm pretty sure one of my friends goes to college out there. I hear it's nice.

I have a matte black 7 plus reserved but it's 3 hours away was hoping mine would change soon
[doublepost=1474812466][/doublepost]At&t is the only one that seems to be backed up right now this sucks!!!

7+ JB 256. Went to backorder yesterday morning. No updates since then (for over than 24 hours).

Ordered 9/9 3:05 AM EST

I ordered the same phone at around the same time (1 minute earlier) and instead of whining about how you ordered later than me, I would like to thank you for the status update. :) It must mean my order will finally see some change from order day soon!

:):)Everyone just hang in there. I'd say by tomorrow evening most everyone will hear something- with all the planes that have landed in the last week and the ones coming. There should be a lot of movement going on this week. It'll probably take Mon. And Tue. To get through all the ones from last Thur. and Fri. And and a lot of statuses should change. It seems like a lot of phones are shipping earlier than their given dates also:)

I was gearing up on Friday night to do a reservation at my nearest store (over 150 miles away) but between this change, and having done THREE chats with AT&T and being told consistently the phone had to be bought from AT&T to be eligible for their trade in offer, I decided to wait it out. I know some have reported successfully buiyng from Apple after this change and trading it in at AT&T but it's not worth the risk for me and the potential fight 2x to convince someone that it's ok, especially since I could never get anything in writing from AT&T that said it worked with Apple purchases

So I continue to wait with you good people!

7+ black 32gb and 7+ black 128gb. Ordered 9/10 around 3:30pm. Oddly enough the 32gb confirmation shows it ord re on 9/11? It was just an upgrade, but the 128gb was for porting a line. I could see the line port taking a day to process but not sure why the upgrade took a day?

Looks like my 256gb Jet Black 7 Plus is arriving tomorrow from Fedex. They upgraded it to overnight shipping even though I had 2 day.

I just pulled it 2hrs ago

"Yes. You must be currently enrolled in the iPhone Upgrade Program."

If you are currently enrolled, you can change the financing to whatever you want. If you are not currently enrolled, they can turn you away.

That's not a plus. I did the same thing yesterday.

Edit: Guess you noticed that too.

Mine did that too for a recent order I did.... it went to backorder on the *6737# around 8:30pm and still said preparing to ship then around 11:30am the next day I got an email shipping confirmation

Oh I hope your right...**but I'm still not getting excited out of fear the system is wrong***lol I'm off to find a case...that ought to keep me occupied for a few days, as I pretend to not be bothered about the wait....
