No, for a couple of reasons.
1.) They won't have the configuration that I want;
and 2.) Apple reservations are now meant for those who did the iPhone Upgrade Program. They said they were receiving a lot of people who were canceling their orders from their cell phone carrier and driving out to the nearest Apple store. Basically those who canceled their orders online were picking up iPhones from the Apple store, whose stock was meant to fulfill the IUP orders first.
Okay just throwing it out there as I was able to find my exact configuration phone this morning except it was Verizon as that works with GSM as well. I also had questions about the payment and went to the payment options in the FAQ.

- When you come in for your reservation, let a Specialist know you’re there to upgrade your iPhone through the iPhone Upgrade Program. Once you check in, they can answer all your questions and help you set up your new iPhone just the way you like. Please allow at least 30 minutes to complete your transaction.
- Yes. You must be currently enrolled in the iPhone Upgrade Program, so that you can upgrade your iPhone to carrier financing, or purchase at full price. Ask a Specialist for more information.
- You can’t change or cancel your reservation. However, if you’d like to change the model you reserved, a Specialist can check the availability of a different iPhone when you come in. Due to high demand, the availability of some models may be limited.
- Please arrive as close to your check-in window as possible. If you’re late, or if you miss your scheduled time, we may not be able to hold the model you reserved. This means you may have to make another reservation.
