Still waiting too for my unicorn...

Ordered 9/9 @ 2:59:07 a.m. ET a JB 7+ 256GB according to Order Status, but email says 3:08 am ET. Email is correct as I had some trouble getting in when things went live.
Ship dates are 9/30-10/7, so this should be the week!!!

Someday my unicorn will come.

Well I got the shipped text on 9/24 via USPS. Still on pre-shipment through them though so will probably get it tomorrow. MB 7+ 128GB ordered 9/9

Well I can say with, after great frustration, that my 7+ 128 JB has finally shipped. Showing delivery for tomorrow. Best of luck to everyone still waiting.

Edit: Pre-Ordered 9/9 @ XX:01 am. Ship group 10/13-10/20.

Yea that article is for NON-preordered phones. This was the walk-in shipment that apple gets the day of release.
So you're saying that all models and sizes will be available for walk in purchase but we are going to be left waiting? That doesn't make any logical business sense. I highly doubt they are going to have millions of phones in stores yet we are going to be waiting for our order to be filled.

Well if they are part of the preorder then idk... Kinda late now their already on the boat!!

What likely happened was they put a big shipment on a cargo ship to supplement the planes. The cargo ship got held up so Apple diverted almost all their in-store inventory to carriers and its upgrade program. Now those on the boat dont really have a designated customer as the planes are trying really hard to fulfill the preorders. Thats why theres such a delay. It seem enough were made but shipping is the biggest issue here this year.

Agreed.

Interesting- It looks like At&t is no longer taking iPhone 7 plus orders online except the 128 JB. They all say out of stock online.

Looks like most of you folks are waiting on + models, but here's a data point on a regular 7 order (JB 256GB):

- ordered 9/13, estimated delivery 10/11 - 10/18
- went to backorder status 9/24
- shipped 9/26 for delivery 9/27
