On the AT&T website it says my phone shipped yesterday but I don't have a tracking number yet.. is that normal?

That's interesting. AT&T always shows the tracking number if it is shipped. You might want to talk to the CS guys and see if they can provide you with any information.

Also I have heard some people on this forum get the shipment notification / tracking number after they actually got the phone.

I am not part of the apple upgrade program currently. I am an AT&T customer. I was just able to snag a reservation at my local apple store for a Black 7 plus 256GB designated for Verizon. If I show up to my reservation and tell them I want to pay for it outright can I take my AT&T sim out of my current phone and activate the new one with it?

It's by 8pm but u will get it around 10

8PM would be awesome as I'll be home but during the day, one of my relatives will be there.

Oh yes. I know one fedEx driver who came in around 6 or so and didnt get back to the depot until 10 or 11 at night. 5 to 6 days a week and that was during usual shipping time.

This is encouraging!

It is a mix of iPhone 7's, Apple watches, and iPads on these flights. When you get your tracking ID for your iPhone you can go to the flight website and check the departure time on the flights which proves which plane the phone is on.
You are 90% correct sir. Actually these flights are mostly iPhones and watches now but they can hold way more space wise then weight wise. So when these planes get loaded they put whatever is going on that plane in it, then with all that extra space they add watches or whatever else they wanna ship over. I could be package peanuts or tissues.
The goal is to ship the most amount of stuff in one flight without going over on weight.

Awesome. Thank you for clearing that up!

Idk when youll get the best buy order... Both my stores ahve yet to receive a single plus.

Can I have a beer too?? :) 190,000 iPhones estimate so in a perfect world they could ship like 1 million in a day
Hopefully if all 11 planes that have shipped since last night are filled to the brim! If each one has 190,000K then that means we could potentially have 2,090,000 million iPhones stateside very soon! Do you actually think this will be the case?

How is it so well known that the only thing on these flights are iPhones?

Lurking from T-Mobile thread here. Flightware has been doing that for a couple of years now. Because they track all the planes they also track ALL UPS planes and then list out UPS planes that leave from iPhone manufacturers factory locations. It's not that there are ONLY iPhones on those planes but that all the phones that are on the planes are tracked on that map. This has also been validated by comparing tracking timestamps for direct Apple order phones. In short, it's pretty accurate.
