I ordered the iPhone 7 Plus 256 GB in black. For the last few days it says "preparing for shipment" and to expect it between October 21, 2016 - October 28, 2016. I know since I ordered it last weekend on the 24th that i probably won't get it soon.

Myshell, I'm sure you've tried it when speaking to CS reps, but have you asked to speak to their supervisors? I am not sure they will be much more help but I wonder if they can somehow mark you as a "high priority" order for all your troubles. :/

That might not be the case. I have 3 7+s with that date and ordered last Friday. On of the MB 256 shipped out this afternoon while the other MB 256 and RSG 32 are still preparing to ship
Restoring my new 7+ from backup now, I have to say Jet Black is so gorgeous in person. There is no other phone like it.
My first order was on 9/9 which was cancelled on at&t behalf then I had to reorder on 9/16
