Think a lot of the people that were talking have gotten theirs and moved on.
Well after I was told yesterday that they would male a special request to deliver my phone before I left the country I gotta say that they never called me. When I called back to check if anything was done on their end they told me they can't get it done and that my only option is to cancel my order and make a new one once I return. AT&T Cares

...Next thing I know is that I woke up with button indents all over my face. I know, I'm a trendsetter.
Once again I am going to give this whole going to bed thing another shot.
I'm also still waiting on my silver 7+128 ordered on 9/16. Still sitting at in progress hell. I really want my phone. This is my first iphone. My Note 4 battery life is crap right now

Even the plane activity is slow. Only one MD11 landed in Fort Worth today and there are seemingly none scheduled anytime soon.

Well from what I learned with my discussion with att there's no one at the facility to take the phones in... or so they say...
Try asking someone else who works there and I can almost guarantee you that they would say something different. :-/

ATT: I'm sorry, I can't help you there, orders are handled by a different department. I would be more then happy to get you the number for them if you'd like! They can handle it from there.

They're full of ****. All they need is your wireless number and zip code and they can access your file. I do find it interesting that via AT&T online chat that you cannot select "Order Status" as an option. I basically select any other option and ask about my order anyway. All of them have been able to view my order.
Hats about normal. But they aren't all MD11s. I'm not in from of the command center right now but I'll post all the planes that should have phones on them. Also the ones that come out of China and South Korea most likely are the only ones with iPhones on them.
It's handled by a separate entity. A LOT of companies are like this. Basically what you see online is the same thing they are. There isn't going to be a lot of different variables in your order position. If it's processing then it's processing (sitting in line waiting for phone). Backordered is, for right now, you phone boxed up waiting for the the shipper. Shipped is boxed up waiting for shipper/left the warehouse on it hopefully 24 hour journey to your door step.
There is no number they have to the warehouse. You would have to speak to a supervisor. Part of their job is to make sure everything is working fine and (the big part) NOT to escalate the call to the next supervisor. I was taught that years ago. Remember **** flows down hill, not up.

I ended up speaking to a supervisor who actually had warehouse experience at ATT. I was inquiring about why people who ordered hours, even days after me were receiving shipping information, and I wasn't. I was polite, but stern in explaining that something was terribly wrong with the way they were randomly shipping preorder phones. He called a friend who still worked in the warehouse and they gave me some incredibly accurate information about what was expected to ship over what would be the next five days. Which models were in stock and ready for shipping, and when they would actually ship. I posted the info here a few weeks back and again, he was very accurate, as many here received their phones over those five days, and exactly in the order he gave me. I received my matte 256 + exactly when he said I would. A lucky call I guess.

Me too. This guy was really nice, and he definitely felt my pain. Lol. Iirc, his name was James (or John, unfortunately I'm not good with names). He really did not know why they were shipping so randomly, and wanted to see what he could find out. He never gave me a direct answer as to why they were shipping that way, but certainly alluded to Apple shipping less inventory than expected. I didn't want to get into how low inventory would make them ship to people who ordered last, I didn't want to push my luck. Lol
