Carrier iPhone 7/7+ EE ( UK ) Pre-Order Thread

From what I can see all they've said publicly is along the lines of "Like other retailers we got limited stock from Apple" and not "We received fewer phones than we had ordered"
I think EE and other carriers knew they were receiving a limited amount and took orders anyway, on the basis their competitors were going to.

Good thing got a preorder from Apple and delivery on 4-10 October so might have to cancel from EE when Apple deliver first.
Only went with EE for matte black as got jet black on order
Got the 28 day text also. Such a mess. I feel sorry for the people who got promised earlier dates. I was told that it would be "absolutely with you in the next 7 days" multiple times via the phone...

I suspect that text is just a canned text to all pre-orders that aren't getting it today.

Im debating going with apple now, its annoying because i had one for pickup today but the ee contract worked out very slightly cheaper and i was promised it on the same day.
Mine is actually a Matte Black plus. But I did order it on the Sunday so... I can't complain too much.
But yeah, I think most of the 28 days are JB's because the process of making them is new and much harder than normal anodisation. I heard a quote of around 19 hours per phone to complete...
Mine says 28 days and is for a +128GB Matte Black.
One thing I failed to mention last time ... the fella I spoke to talked about online orders. Apparently, the way they work is that they are passed to a department and opened and processed by hand .. so ordering online isn't in any way quicker than ordering over the phone .. it's considerably slower. So, you could have ordered online at around 8am but if it's not processed by their online team till a couple of days later then you'll be further down the queue.
Not very clever but something to remember for next time.

I originally ordered online, then got an email to give EE a call. I called and basically got told the same thing, because of the volume of orders, they are having to run them through by hand. Feel for these people that ordered online early, but orders weren't processed for hours or days later :-(
Could the price per month simply be the price without VAT? Depends on which page you were reading that on I think.
Just got my delivery slot SMS from DPD... delivery expected after mid-day!
Strange i looked in my plan summary and it shows the price excluding VAT which is lower than what was on the main page. I will find out later.
I got the 28 day text too for my 7+ 256 JB phone. Considered cancelling but then look at other carriers. o2 say 6 weeks wait. Vodafone say 6-8 weeks. Three and Apple say November.
As disappointed as I am, 28 days is still faster than the others.

Expected delivery was and still is 26th-3rd Oct.
Changed to preparing for delivery yesterday and payment taken but no change in order delivery date. What is going on?

Changed my + order to 7 Jet Black 128GB on Wed 14/09. Just had a missed call from EE. Called back and asked about delivery date. Was told 21 days on ordering and have received text for 21 days. The lady said I should receive it next week or the week after. Both jet black models are sold out as of Thursday. I will be very happy if I get by Sept end

Hope that goes well for you but tbh I'll be annoyed if it does as I ordered same config on launch day and am being told 28 days from today.
