anyone have terrible battery life with iPhone 7. It's twice as bad as my 6. Not sure what is going on

I've had it a week. 20 percent with 2 hours usage and 10 hours standby. I never had to charge my phone throughout the day but I do now

If battery is a problem, I would consider getting the Smart Battery Case from Apple. Not the nicest looking case and pricey, but I am sitting at 100% on iPhone and 10% on case still with 5.5 hours of usage and 16 hours of standby.

I bought the Apple smart battery case and I love it! I'm getting 14+ hours of use with this thing. I love that it automatically charges the phone when you place it in the case. When the case battery drains I slip the iPhone out and I go caseless with 100%. Best of both worlds and I never have to worry about battery dying or looking for a charger. Another nice feature is that it takes a lightning cable to charge instead of USB like every other battery case.

It also feels nice in the hand and even makes the iPhone easier to hold. The bump doesn't bother me at all.

This is crazy, you should never have to do this, redownloading all your apps and passwords and things? lol. That's insane.

No it is not always, a question of taste i guess, specially when upgrading from ios X to ios Y and having issues.

Yes, but sometimes you have no other options.
I also dont like to risk it using old backups from older devices or older ios versions.
So when I setup my new i7 I will setup as new. Transfer my contacts via icloud and just sync my apps and pics back and I'm good.
Peace of mind.

Facebook consumes a lot of battery. Delete it. Sync your phone to itunes to remove diagnostic files- this usually always helps. disable background app refresh entirely- its not needed honestly. disable some location services that you dont need, if you have them enabled.
