Mine is almost exactly like yours. I get close to 3hrs usage. 8hrs standby and my battery is at 15-25%

I've set up as new, restored from back up. I have most everything turned off. Even in airplane mode tonight for 15 minutes I lost a few %... I basically lose about 5-10% per hour, no matter what, using it, standby... doesn't matter.

I was just on the Apple support chat, the lady told me to exchange it. So I'll figure that out tomorrow.

I'm getting about ~8-8.5 hrs usage on my 7, which is about 1-1.5 hrs compared to the 6S I had.

Same problem with 3-5% per hour drain when idle... and more when screen on. Says 1:30 hours of usage over night even though it's been untouched. Makes me believe it's a software issue. Safari is the culprit according to the battery stats.

Mine (iPhone 7) is great. Never gotten below 50% so far. (Charge every night)
Mostly using it for music listening and some texts though.

iPhone 5 usually was almost dead at the end of the day (but battery was getting old).
Galaxy S7 anywhere between 20-40%. Very inconsistent.

Haha my galaxy s7 had to be charged 2-3 times a day, I hated that piece of junk so much.

i have huge problems with battery life of my 7.
the phone even gets REALLY hot when I unlock and start using it :-(

little frustrating!

got no facebook app, turned off most notifications and background updates ...

anyone can confirm this?

Great for me and I picked up the battery case now so it goes for ages. If you can get use to the hump then its great for battery life and front audio.

I've got my iPhone 7 since yesterday and thought it might be that I'm using it more than I will be after a few days. However, I noticed how my battery dropped from 87% to 82% in an half hour without me doing anything as I was in the classroom. And I already have changed some settings here and there (e.g. background updates, system location services), but nothing really changed.

Not going to whine right away, as it might be good to wait for at least another day before actually complaining. And I'm going to drain my iPhone completely and charge it all the way to 100% to calibrate the battery. I mean, it wouldn't hurt anyone to do so, right?

I mean, it's not that bad actually. But it's like 10 AM here and I took the iPhone from the charger at around 6:30 AM. The fact that it's at 82% now worries me a bit, especially if it stays this way. If so, I'm gonna buy the Smart Battery Case again (also got it with my iPhone 6s).

Does it drain in Airplane mode? I was at a concert last night put it in Airplane mode as I only had 25%. Left it for 15-20 minutes. Opened phone and then I had 22%

I also think it's Safari. Yesterday I had Safari consume 46% of the battery with only 56 minutes of screen time...

There's an interesting review of the iPhone 7 on one of the main UK newspaper's web site that pretty much concludes that all the iPhone 7 benefits are destroyed by bad battery life...

The iPhone 7 is a missed opportunity. Apart from a bit of fluff retention the fit and finish, the cameras, fingerprint scanner, snappy performance and waterproofing are all great. But what does it matter how good it is when the battery is dead?

The battery life just isn’t good enough to last one day, let alone two when so many other smartphones do. And when the iPhone 7 is dead it takes ages to charge it up again. It’s really poor.

The reviewer claims that he gets less battery life from his 7 than he did from his 6s when new.

Frankly I'm skeptical because his experiences are so at odds with Apple's claims and there is even some solid technical information this time around about why Apple's claims of improving the battery life vs the previous generation seem credible (e.g. adding the 2 low power cores to the A10 Fusion SoC and the slightly bigger battery in the 7 vs the 6s rather than battery capacity reductions that we've sometimes seen between past generations).

I wonder if the reviewer had a defective review unit. Given how proactive and protective they are I would be surprised if Apple PR doesn't contact him to see what happened. It will be very interesting to revisit the review page in a few weeks time to see if it is updated in any way in case there did turn out to be a fault on his phone. Surely Apple PR aren't going to let this stay out there if it is down to a faulty unit?

Yeah drains the same. Hoping Apple will find something in that powerlog I sent

My battery life has been phenomenal. I'm finishing every day with many hours of usage, standby in the double digits and still 50-60% battery remaining.

I still use the Facebook app, by the way. It does use a lot of battery, but I kill it every time. Simply saying "delete Facebook, it's your problem," seems misguided.

I think the OP has bigger battery issues.

Here is something you guys with the battery issue might want to try.

I've found Safari to be draining my battery. 46% of battery in the last 24 hours. With only 56 minutes of screen time.

I went under restrictions and disabled Safari, that way I can't use it. I downloaded Firefox for now.

So far

30minutes usage
1hr standby

Just dropped to 99%...

Normally that would have been lower 90's by now.
