I guessed this was going to be an issue from the beginning, it looks like its not quite as bad as the iPhone 5 Black but it's still pretty annoying. Part of the reason I went for the Jet Black.

Probably, but it's most likely lower. I don't think there's a way to avoid this no matter what color you get except for silver.

I have a really tiny chipping mark on mine but it is my own fault. The phone slipped out of my hand and flew face down across the bathroom floor and was only stopped by the wooden door. I should be glad nothing else happened.

Well, I took my iPhone 7 out its case this morning to give it a clean and in the bright morning sunshine I noticed several specs down either side of the phone.
It appears some dust has gotten into the case and has been rubbing off the phone, therefore chipping the anodising off. I don't have any peeling, just lots of little "dots", which I thought were dust until they wouldn't wipe off.
Time to get a skin applied I think.

My phone has been in a rhinoshield bumper since day 1 - no chipping at all. It even took a nasty fall down the stairs and ended up squeezed between 2 pieces of wood.
