Spigen case for iPhone 7 and plus are released in October there giving a hint the event in October
I think the Spigen cases are just a guess at what the devices will be so they get it out early. That's just what I think anyway. I think the event will still be in September but who knows
Even if the release might be in October, the event could very well still be in September.
The sooner they get this launch done the sooner we can move on to next year's model. The dearth of rumors indicates that in all likelihood this year's phone is simply a placeholder. A boring recycled 6 series, renamed 7 just because Apple can.

The event can still be on the 7th, Apple have been known to send out invites a week before. There is still today, Tuesday and even Wednesday for Apple to send out invites.
True, but if it gets later then that it's pretty much confirmed it won't be.
It seems to be the general thinking that the event will be held on the 7th, most leakers and also the very credible ones are saying the same. We will soon see tho. The event won't just be for the iPhone 7, we are likely to see other products announced as well. My guess is:
iPhone 7 and 7 Plus
Apple Watch 2
Macbook's (Maybe)
There you go, Invite out. Not delayed. Its always 8-9 days before the event. its a Wednesday this year, so thats why the invite went out on a Monday.
