Could it not be that when folks are pressing harder, they feel the vibration stronger because of a tighter grip?

Also, the power of suggestion is strong; just because one thinks it's true, it doesn't make it so. Anyone remember the couple who were convinced their phones weighed different amounts?

lol that was a funny thread.

Could be. But that guy posted a graph that proved the sound waves are different. Which is how it is with my phone. It's set at 1 but some clicks are louder (by a lot) than others

- It could not. Have a listen to my sound recording and a look at the waveform. It's there.
I also obtained this one from a friend of mine. Guess which presses are firm and which are light?

Why would he replace his phone when he says that ALL of them do this?
trying to see where he said that

OP did say

- It must be a manufacturing difference so that it happens on some devices but not on others. I have a hard time believing some people simply can't feel or hear it if it's actually there.

which implies he thinks it happens on some but not others

Please point out where he said "ALL devices do this"

- I'm going to wait and see what iOS 10.1 does. Then take it from there.

- Not once did I say that. In fact, I've mostly advocated just the opposite.
Ty, not sure where he read that or how it was even implied.
