If you think this is so easy, just go make a jailbreak yourself. Seriously, these guys do a huge amount of work and give it away for free, so how can you complain?

If you read most of the JB blogs they say there is a security hole already out there to JB. Why didnt they release it.

Because they wait until apple release their first major bug fix update.

Releasing before that is stupid because they will give away the exploit and apple will patch it ASAP.

Just wait

There were quite a few things that the jailbroken apps added to iOS before. Now that we have 7 with its new features (a decent multitasking - most important thing for me), what other reasons have you got to justify jailbreaking?

You might be expecting too much? How are they meant to have an iPhone 7 jailbreak when the iPhone 5S just came out?

Give them some time. iOS 7 just came out a couple of weeks ago. Rest assured that they are working on it but it could be a while.

Didn't the jailbreak for iOS 6 come out like 4 months after the release?

Having an exploit does not mean you have a JB, evasi0n needed 5 exploits to work. It took them 5 months to get it ready.

I don't expect it before december(if at all)

Jesus Christ, we've got at least a year until the iPhone 6 and you're already talking about jailbreaking the iPhone 7?

I actually kind of wish they would starting charging for the jb. Maybe it would weed out some of the people who feel like they are OWED a jb. I would gladly pay for my jb and I'm sure many others feel the same way.

You're basically asking Apple to allow people to pay for the ability to pirate software and break copyright laws. Good luck with that.

Basically you have no idea what you are talking about, no clue what jailbreak does or if it is legal or not, please educate yourself before posting

1. I'm pretty sure the poster meant the hackers, not apple. On that note, it would be really cool: http://blog.firmwareumbrella.com/2013/09/dear-apple-i-have-very-simple-request/
2. It's completely legal to jailbreak
3. Jailbreaking isn't all about pirating even though that's what people associate it with. There's functionality tweaks, theming, and the like

Holy christ since you are so unable to find an answer I'll give you one.

There is a enough vulnerabilities in the kernel memory data to successfully launch a jailbreak payload into the kernel and allow for root access.

That being said, IT'S ONE COCKING STEP IN A HUGE PROCESS WITH MULTIPLE STEPS. It's not been released because of bug fixing, random kernel panics, stuff that goes on and the fact that it's not even ****ing done yet. Relax and wait for a jailbreak.

Also, MobileSubstrate and WinterBoard don't work in iOS 7.

Exactly!

And like some devs in the App store, some devs in Cydia charge for their tweaks. I pay for mine.

But this mentality exists because Apple at the very least does nothing to discourage it. Since Apple doesn't like it, it therefore MUST be illegal and everyone who does it is a criminal.

Unfortunately the good must suffer for the bad.

It's almost done, and it takes a ton of work. They are also having to update Cydia as well as wait for the new iPads to come out so the JB will work on those too. If they don't wait, then Apple will patch it on the iPads before they are released. Just be grateful they are doing it or go do it yourself. Dang.
