I'm with everybody when it came to the design on the 6. Too thin and light and a touch too slippery but it's incredible how much of a difference there is between it and the 6s. Something about the aluminum makes it less slippery and the added weight (although small) makes this phone feel like a tank. I dropped the 6 several times and the only issues I had were some nicks in the aluminum so I'm carrying the 6s caseless and not at all worried about damaging it.

Those actually were pretty good designs. There was a thread on here asking people to rank their favorite iPhone designs, and I was stuck between the 4 and the 3 series so I took out my old ones and the 3G felt much nicer in the hand than the 4.

My favorite and very first iPhone was the 5c. I found that device to be amazingly sturdy and it felt wonderful to me. It'll always be my favorite device. I heard the 5c was a tiny bit similar to the 3GS, is that true?

They were both plastic so in that sense they were similar. I never used a 5C so I can't really comment on if they felt similar in your hand, but it wouldn't surprise me.

The 5S looks better than the 6, mostly due to the not terrible antenna lines and the glass inlays at the back. So yes, a design change back to something that looks like the 5S is a welcome change.

I am a happy iPhone 6 owner. BUT, there's no question in my mind the 5 was a better design (putting aside screen size preference). The only issue with the 5 is that the edges scuffed if not in a case. The six has the ugly antenna lines, protruding camera (even now i cannot believe Apple made that design decision), and is very slippery in the hand.

I'd love to see a return to an iPhone 5-esque design, minus the easily marred edges.

I'm trying out a 6S now but honestly I still prefer the design and size of my silver 5S. It's just so sexy.

The issue with thicker is, I believe, most use a case. Thus, while slightly thicker without a case is better, you want as thin as possible when using one.

I really don't care about the design except I want the round home button gone and the bezels shrunk. I'm not feeling good about my hopes for the home button though, which really limits what they can do with bezels. It's crazy the Note 5 can have a 5.7" screen and be noticeably smaller than the 6s plus with a 5.5" screen.

I moved from a 5s to the 6s+. I preferred the feel of the 5s. It felt substanial in my hand with a good grip and easily manipulated with one hand. I like the size of the 6s+ and never thought I'd think it was too thin, but it just doesn't have the same comforting feel of the 5s.

I loved the design of the 5/5s. I had a 5 and wife had a 5s. She liked the smaller size too since she has small hands. We now have the 6 and 6s. I don't mind the design, but I wouldn't mind a re-do of the 5/5s design. I also loved slate black. I wish they'd bring that back.

That's the reason why I still have my 5s, the 6 series looks like crap also is plagued with issues.

Whatever makes you feel better, man. None of what you said is true though, for the record.

I much prefer the design of the 5S. It is so damn beautiful. But the 6S performance upgrades are amazing! There is no going back for me. I doubt that the 7 will look like the 5S again and we won't know what it will look like until some leaked photos. Should be interesting...

I bought a 6s, upgrading from a 5, and took it back, staying with my 5.

Why? Because the 6s is much heavier, bigger and unwieldy. When they released the 5 it was amazing how small ang light it was.

The physicality of an object I keep on my person all day every day is so important I'm willing to sacrifice the speed and features of the 6s to keep a comfortable 5.

Very much hope the 7 has a smaller, lighter, thinner, and squarer edged version available.

Kinda suspect the 6 range's size and design was always a Watch tie-in too.
