I'm torn between ordering 7 128gb for $300 or SE 64 gb for free. Leaning SE. Bigger screen would be cool but if I'll have another upgrade in 18 months I'll get a newly designed one then. Some 7 features and the large screen would be nice but $300 for 18 - 24 months nice ? Hmm. Also I don't really like the feel of the 6/6s.

I think this comes down to size preference and budget. If you need more than 64GB then storage too.

That makes it a very personal decision. And there's enough difference in these points that it should become a very clear decision with a bit of thought.

faced the same decision after the keynote, went SE. happy with my choice, and dont feel like i spent so much i would feel guilty upgrading back to the bigger phone next yesr if i want.

Have the SE, sold 6s plus

Not sure what I'm doing long term for 7 release, regular or plus. Time will tell,

The gap is narrowed getting a 7, but I did plus for two years so maybe it'll feel good going different,

i bought the SE last month. i needed a phone when my 4 year old iphone 5 decided to stop working. plus i already had an ipad mini 4. just how much better is the iphone 7 though? i just listed some things that come to mind. i will probably upgrade to the 2018 iphone, but for now, i'm satisfied. but i'm always curious to know just how improved 4.7" iphone is over the SE

iphone 7 (4.7")
slightly better front and back camera,
optical IS,
faster chip,
3d touch,
improved touch ID
128 gb space, a great middleground (over the 64 gb max for se)

I went from the 5s to the 6 to the SE and now have an order in for 7.

I truly think I need a screen bigger than the SE, however, the 6/7 form factor is just too big for the size of the screen they have put in. A 5.2 inch screen can easily fit in the same size.

But, as I want to stay on iOS this cycle and the only option for a bigger screen is the 7, that's what I am going for.

Of course, the 7 Plus has an even bigger screen but that has a laughably big phone to screen size ratio.

ordered the SE last night. rose gold. comes tomorrow !

Don't understand. What difference is there in "feel" between 6 and 7?

thats what im saying. probably not much.

cant wait to get a bigger screen in 2 years also !

I have the SE, and I'm happy with that. If you want a smaller phone then the SE is a great product otherwise, the 7 has a lot going for it

I got an SE and love it. But I also have a iPhone 7 Plus on order. I still plan on using my SE on the go and the Plus at home. But if I was getting the smaller iPhone 7 that would be my only device.

that would be what id do if i could afford it. maybe ill get an ipad eventually. i also ordered a 27 inch imac arriving tomorrow so my hands will be full and my screen will be big.

I just bought the SE. It feels better in the hand and is less slippery, it's more comfortable in the pocket, and it has a headphone jack. Plus, it's less money, which is a bonus, although I'd choose it over the 7 even if they were the same price.

Where did all you SE owners come from? Lol There was a poll a few days ago asking what phone people were using and the iPhone SE barely got any votes.

Anyway, I'd say the decision to buy a new phone is much harder now. When it was $400 for the iPhone SE and the iPhone 6s with the same processor and camera was $250 more, it was extremely easy to recommend the iPhone SE over the "flagship" iPhone.

The iPhone 7 is a pretty substantial upgrade over the iPhone SE and iPhone 6s, but it is $250 more and the iPhone SE is still a fantastic phone. I already have an iPhone SE, but if I was buying a new phone now, I'd have a hard time deciding between the iPhone SE and 7, though I think I'd still probably go for the iPhone SE.

Hi,

Even i do have the iphone SE, which is handy and has the best pixel density.
The iPhone 6/6s/7 all have the same pixel density, and all the Plus phones have a higher pixel density.

I got an SE a few months (switched from a 6S+) and it's the best thing I've ever done: I love having a small phone again (I've got an iPad Mini and a 12.9" iPad Pro for when I need a bigger screen).

Having got sucked into the "bigger is better" mindset over the last few years, I'm determined now to stick with smaller phones as long as they are available and am really hoping the SE isn't a one-off :)

i bought the SE and i love it, honestly, the 6 gave me cramps. SE is perfect size for me. Its just a bummer to have to miss out on all the latest features because you want a smaller phone

I waited for the iPhone 7 announcement...and then bought an SE instead. lol
