A spot check of Apple's reservation system for iPhone Upgrade Program members reveals iPhone 7 Plus availability is slowly improving in the United States.

iPhone 7 Plus models in select storage capacities and colors, sans Jet Black models, are available for reservation at select Apple retail stores in California, Florida, New York, and some other states as of the time this article was published. iPhone 7 models continue to be more widely available.

Apple Century City in Los Angeles, for example, currently has 128GB iPhone 7 Plus models for AT&T and Verizon in Rose Gold available for reservation at 4:00 p.m. local time. Similarly, Apple Williamsburg in Brooklyn has 128GB iPhone 7 Plus models for AT&T and Verizon in Black, Gold, Rose Gold, and Silver.

iPhone 7 Plus reservations are available at six other Apple stores in New York City, including its Grand Central, SoHo, Upper East Side, Upper West Side, West 14th Street, and World Trade Center locations. Each location has iPhone 7 Plus models for all four major U.S. carriers, aside from T-Mobile models at Apple SoHo.

iPhone 7 Plus reservations in Florida are available at Aventura Mall in Aventura, St. Johns Town Center in Jacksonville, and International Plaza in Tampa Bay.

Elsewhere, customers can reserve the 5.5-inch model at Highland Village in Houston, South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, Pasadena, Irvine Spectrum Center in Irvine, West County Center in St. Louis, Woodland in Grand Rapids, Fayette Mall in Lexington, Jordan Creek in West Des Moines, and some other stores.

iPhone 7 Plus stock both in stores and online has been limited compared to iPhone 7 since last Friday's launch. New data suggests the 5.5-inch model has outsold the 4.7-inch version for the first time ever, likely fueled by exclusive features such as dual cameras, longer battery life, and 3GB of RAM.

Yesterday, it was reported that some Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus pre-orders will be delivered sooner than expected as shipping estimates improve.

iOS 10 has so many bugs. It's disgusting. I buy Apple so I don't have these kinds of problems. They're still better than alternatives but what a mess.

I don't think I'll ever sign up for Apple's upgrade program after seeing how Apple treated its upgrade members.

I think they showed a lot of promise by realizing they screwed up launch day and doing everything they could to fix it. I am thinking that by the time or at the time they announce the next phone, they will have a much better system for the IUP members to upgrade.

I reserved mine about 15 mins ago, still haven't received the confirmation email tho, is that normal?

They worked like crazy fixing the problems. They added stock to the IUP available inventory, invented a new call center team pretty much on the weekend, and then had phones reserved for many members in stores on launch day marked with their names (if available, JB was still a problem, of course). I walked in, got mine on Sunday and was out in 20 minutes, new loan all set up.

I do hope we can do it all online next year and return the old unit through the mail as the contract allows. That would leave the stores for those that have to have the store experience!

Although I am not an upgrade Member, Hopefully Apple can improve on this to become better and more efficient. I'm not making any excuses for them, but this is a new program that will encounter errors, it's about how they correct these errors and serve the customer.

It's Way better than AT&T, I preordered a 7+ 128gb black at 3am on the 9th. And have yet to receive my phone. Haven't been lucky enough to find one of these available in Florida or I would cancel my preorder and pick up in a Apple Store.

Check spam. It seems the reservation confirmation always goes into spam.
[doublepost=1474366036][/doublepost]You mean only in the US...? 7 Plus availability is still **** poor in the UK with seemingly no new deliveries into the country since Friday.

Funny they took down the phone number on the upgrade webpage. Guess Apple does not care about loyal customers. How far down hill Apple has gone since Steve Jobs died. Tim does not impress me. He allowed this awful launch to happen. Steve Jobs would have had the head or heads of those responsible to get canned.

Here in the Netherlands it's not better either. Place where I ordered my iPhone 7 128 GB Black has no idea when to expect new deliveries, they told me. Usually that would be pretty clear, but it looks like Apple is not being transparent about it this time...

Hope they will continue to improve availability though. Even if it's just the US now, that'll mean other countries should follow very soon as well. At least, I hope it will. Wouldn't want to wait for weeks. :$

According to this article the apple store near me has a phone in stock... I am on t-mobile and want to use Jump on Demand, can I do that in an apple store? What are the steps? Do I need to be Primary account holder or can I just be authorized to make changes. If any one knows how this works in the store with t-mobile I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you.

The two UK stores closest to me, Norwich & Cambridge have never had any stock of the black 256gb pluses. I've been refreshing the page for days! Very jealous of the stock available in the US.

Wow... join date today, first post. I think you've pretty much hit most of the Apple-hater points. You're off the mark on a few parts, though.

You forgot to mention the lack of Mac updates. Classic mistake; the Mac line is one of the easiest targets. Surely you can do better. Also, you've got to space out the slew of criticism every now and then with a bit of a pun. Referring to the CEO as "Tim Crook" is a solid choice around here. How about a clever remark like "you're upgrading it wrong?" for future articles about the IUP's hiccups.

Overall, 2/10 effort - but I'm sure you'll do much better in the future. I'm practically on the edge of my seat, in lip-biting anticipation, to see your next well-argued and objective comments about the state of Apple.

Who cares about Jet Black anyway. Even according to Apple, is so scratchy, it needs tucking away behind a cover. Ridiculous!

I don't get it either. Pay more money for a coating which appears to be easier to damage, gets all gross and covered with finger prints easier, and which is best off kept hidden in a case, so no-one will see it anyway. People are strange.

Still - each to their own.
