The fact remains that if we order the same phone, color, memory from the same exact place, but i ordered mine 1 week prior to you minutes into the opening of the pre-order, and you receive your order weeks before I do then apple's claim of orders are fulfilled on a first come first serve basis are not true. Period.

So you're saying you have seen people who ordered the exact same model, using the exact same sales option, from apple also, and they have received their order prior to you?

That's what I said, and if you've been following this thread others have seen the same pattern and that includes apple employees themselves.... in fact, not only have some people who ordered later then me receive their order, some have tracking as of now, some have a ship date that's before mine, ive been in processing since 330 am 9/9 so go figure.

And as I stated earlier, im happy for the people that are getting their orders, there is no reason why they shouldn't. But its not first come first serve which is apples claim. I honestly dont care about the waiting on the phone, but im not good with getting pushed to the back of the line for no good reason or explanation.

AT&T may have placed an order for JB 256GB 7+'s (and other models) long before you had a chance to pre-order and that order is getting fulfilled. Had they not, all of their customers would be in the same boat as us with November/December delivery estimates. If Apple is truly fulfilling orders 'first come first served' that makes much more sense than Apple deciding to serve a carrier order before yours in spite of your earlier order.

Perhaps demand for that model dwindled fast enough for AT&T to move forward with that order. Or perhaps somebody just screwed up. We know of a couple of instances of this happening but that doesn't mean that thousands of AT&T (or any carrier for that matter) customers that ordered long after us are today enjoying their shiny new jet black 7+'s.

That's what I am trying to find too. I went back 9 pages and have not see anyone who ordered after the launch date via apple.com but received a JB + 128GB.

What would be interesting to know is whether folks who have received their handsets purchased it at retail or via the carrier subsidized options versus IUP. We know IUP has been giving priority this year and for obvious reasons, as Apple generates more money off these.

Well a Apple Manager called me today regarding my 9/9 preorder but all he said was that the date given is what it is and there's nothing he can do , I asked him about Apple.com stating 6-8 week delivery timefream for the jet black plus model and he said that there's nothing he can do as well, which I asked him what is the point of a preorder then if the shipping time now is the same as preordering, basically it's like a middle finger to all of us who had preordered on 9/9.

I order, on 9/9 jet black 7+ 30mins after preorder open.

Look at post #306 page 13 on this thread, guy ordered at 2pm on9/9 has tracking info posted already just for example.
"Ordered launch day around 2pm, 256gb jet black sprint, "November" was always my date."

I dont recall saying 1000s of at&t phones have been delivered. And this thread isn't about ATT, its about apple.com and you can buy ever service provider phone through apple. Bottomline is if you ordered 3 days before me, you should get your phone before i do....its really that simple.

We could sit here all day making pretend excuses for why this launch is going the way it is, but its all assumptions, no one really knows why other then the JB color is harder to produce....other then that its all speculation.

Well I finally scored my 128 GB 7+ JB. However it wasn't via pre-order. I just walked into a local target on my lunch break and asked if they had any in stock. The mobile sales guy said they had one 7+ left and it was in JB. I took it on the spot and was in and out in under 20 mins. Now I have to cancel my pre-order via Apple.com. Good hunting to everyone, I suspect over the next 4-5 weeks we will start to see more of these devices available for walk-in. Or maybe that's me being overly optimistic.

Wow very lucky! I'm about to call my local targets!

Stock is pre-allocated to the various sales channels. They're not going to just send it all to folks who pre-ordered online. How quickly we forget or we're simply an entitled millennial that online orders are a matter of convenience.
So why even preorder than? The purpose of me waking up at 3am and ordering is to be one of the first to get it and screwed by an shortages. Apple should be fulfilling the orders in as they come in. It defeats the purpose. If you spent money on a kickstarter campaign, wouldn't you be annoyed if they locked you in and instead sold their available products to new customers instead of the ones who signed up early???

Looks like they ordered a different model, with a carrier that doesn't even have a fraction of the customers of Verizon. Not to mention, Verizon's model is unlocked, which means even more people from AT&T & T-Mobile will be trying to source this specific model.

Based on the survey within this thread alone, the overwhelming majority of clients went for the 128GB model. Unfortunately, in the US, we don't have a one fits all model like everyone else.

I ordered last week, 2.5 weeks after the initial pre-order and my ship date is mid December.

False equivalency.
