Just an update for everyone, my 26th September iPhone 7+ JB 128GB was still stuck on processing as of today (Delivered by 18th Nov). Can't believe I was able to reserve one at the local store and collect it. They seem to be getting a steady supply of iPhone 7+ JB at the morning time to reserve.

I took my husband yesterday to an at&t store because we're thinking about switching carriers and I showed him the 7 they had in jet black. He actually didn't like it, lol. Said, "Who the hell wants that thing?? It's a fingerprint magnet!" Your wife wants it and is getting it, hello!!
Needless to say, he's going with a matte black iPhone 7 Plus. Oh, well. His loss!! LOL
The jet black isn't as bad of a finger print magnet as you would think since every time I slide it out of my pocket it gets a quick polish haha.

Just got back from the Apple Store. It's a beaut! 256GB Verizon jet black. Was able to reserve one overnight using the Apple website. It was a little crowded when I went. But otherwise everything went smoothly. Good luck to everyone else!!
I feel lucky to have gotten mine on Friday. Availability for the AT&T is still tight in my area. I've mentioned that the order was a mess for me this year but what balanced it out was the customer service on this side of things. The chat guy went out of his way to make sure one was held for me and once in the store the staff was phenomenal. At any given time I had 2 or 3 (stunningly handsome) guys helping me out. It really made all the difference.
I finally managed to make a reservation to pick up at an apple store near my place. will need to cancel the damn order later after i successfully manage to purchase it.

I was able to get a jet black plus 256 gb in a store this past Sunday. There were no issues with IUP and I canceled my online order with Apple once I got home with the phone.
It seems Apple's strategy is to drive more traffic to their stores by increasing the likelihood that you'll be able to buy an iPhone by just walking into a store.
I don't know about the numbers between online orders versus casual walk-ins with an intent to buy an iPhone, but it looks like Apple thinks the latter is more common, and would rather not disappoint such customers.

So i managed to reserve and pick up an iPhone 7+ JB 256gb at my local apple store. Had to redo my IUP and got a 2nd hard credit check on my credit score (dam u apple). But managed to get everything done in 15mins.
Couldn't cancel my apple.com order (made on 9/9, within 1st hour), so had to call them to make the cancellation.

I ordered my jet black 128gb through att next with an arrival date of 11/24 - 12/14. I saw was in stock from istock site and went into today to an Apple Store and got a 258gb on the spot after cancelling my ATT order . It makes no sense why that could happen but I recommend everyone doing the same
Yep I did the same thing this past weekend. Makes no sense that people who preordered on preorder day still haven't gotten theirs yet, but somehow the stores are getting them. What a joke!
God damn Apple for not opening an Apple Store south of San Antonio!! I'm sure I would've been able to drive to pick up a JB+ by now if they did.
I feel your pain lol. Apple royally screwed up this launch. I can only imagine what it will be like next year for the 10th anniversary. We probably won't see it in stores till January LOL
